The Fife’s came to Denver

Over Labor Day weekend, our good friends the Fife’s came to visit us! We were so excited to see them again and show them some of Denver. The weekend involved girls chatting, guys video gaming, the aquarium, eating yummy food, and the kids being cute.

Future Deep Sea Divers. They’ll have to grow into their suits first :)

The otters were out playing. So cool, since we rarely see them swimming. They were fast, so all my pictures are blurry. But you get the idea.

Connor loved looking at all the animals. Lily loved playing with her toes and “talking.”

Lily had her first experience with the high chair! She did much better than I was anticipating, this will make eating out so much easier. Way to go baby girl!

We had to get a picture of the kiddoes together. They sure were so cute with each other. Lily would laugh if Connor was shaking a toy, and Connor would give Lily strange looks when she was jabbering on about who knows what. Silly girl.

We are so glad they made the sacrifice to come see us! We’ll definitely have to do this again soon.

6 months

Once again I am late in posting about Lily’s milestones this month, at least I’m consistent :)

We have been noticing more and more how quickly our baby girl is growing from a helpless little baby to a very curious little girl.

6 month Stats

Height: 27 inches (90%)

Head: 17 5/8 inches (90-97%)

Weight: 16lbs 14oz (50-75%)

Lily, at 6 months:

• you love to roll all over and we often find you wedged against the furniture.
• you mostly roll to your left. If we had a big enough room you would roll yourself around and around in a big circle.
• you are giggling more and more everyday, but we still get the best giggles right before bed
• your Daddy loves to see your big smile when he gets home from work
• you started rolling over in your bed. We think it’s super cute to see you sleeping on your stomach

 

  

you are very chatty. Daddy has nicknamed you “jabber-gums”

your favorite thing to say it “ya-ya-ya”  We’ve also heard you say “ma-ma” a few times (Mommy wishes you would say it more!)

you got your first tooth about a week before turning 6 months and now you have another one too!

your hair is getting lighter and lighter

you are enjoying trying new foods (for the most part). So far you have eaten bananas, apples, pears, carrots, green beans, prunes, rice cereal, and barley

prunes are the only thing you didn’t like (who could blame you!) everything else you’ll at least eat if it’s mixed with cereal.

Daddy got you a baby doll from his company party that has a binky attached. You try to suck on the baby’s binky all the time and get frustrated because it won’t fit in your mouth.

we love your big smiles and happy kicks when we get you out of your bed

We are excited for you to move up from the portable bassinet to your crib this month! Just another part of the tiny baby you used to be that we have to let go. We love you sweet girl!

This is Broncos Country Baby!

Dan and Jessica were awesome enough to get us a sweet deal on Broncos tickets! Let’s not dwell on the fact that it was a pre-season game and on a Saturday, we’ll take whatever we can get. Now we can mark off going to an NFL game on our list of awesome things to do in Denver. Lily was pretty much entranced by the game the entire time.
