Honest to God, where do they find these old pole dancers? The garbage bin? This one shoulda been put out to pasture years ago. She’s all saggy skin and bones, for chrissakes. Must be desperate to still be dancing at this age. She is too old for this shit!

Charmaine stood back and analysed her still life. She contemplated adding something extra to give it more oomph then realised that that was the point of this one. Humans have done enough to Mother Earth already and it was more than time to show respect. “We think we hold (or even are) the keys to the success of this planet we call home when in reality, Nature has shown us time and time again that when left to her own devices, Mother Earth heals herself.” It was only right to leave those keys next to that plant with nothing else.

She could never be accused of being a neatnick in her home – it was clean, just not necessarily spotless. There was, however, that one window she kept crystal clear. Just outside said window was an old fence that had a forever-changing lace curtain of spider webs. Their dew-enhanced beauty as the sun shone through them inspired her. Sitting in her comfy chair she would throw her dreams and thoughts to be caught. Sometimes it was best (and less painful for her) if thoughts were softened before she uttered them et dixit magna. I hate to appear ungracious or unappreciative, truly I do. And I do everything in my power to keep those thoughts deep inside and out of my face! I hate even more that I feel the feeling in the first place, especially when I know full-well the intentions are honourable and heartfelt. They always believe(d) they (were) are giving me what I wanted and, technically, they were. Just not quite. A tad off. Yes, I wanted a (fill in blank) but the style that I truly desired? Not what you gave me. Am I an awful person for thinking this?
