I had went to Pride today for the first time in my life. I felt liberated and amazed how right the things people say about bisexual people. We are not accepted.

I went with my gay friend Matt, and we expected to just watch stuff and hope to find some action there. Oh how right we were. A group of hispanic girls came up to us asking if we wanted to be part of the parade. We said yes.

So once we got prepared and everything, this guy who was friends with the girls makes out with Matt.  We all were staring because that was fucking hot. I even saw Matt get a hard on from the kid! (I worry that Matt is going to be a pedophile from him hitting on guys 17+ when he’s almost 20…) So I decided to be bold and ask the girl who invited us to help if we could kiss.

“Like right now…?”
“Why not? I think we’d make it hotter…”
“Maybe.”

Then she walked away. Like what the fuck? I get rejected by a 18, and a 17-year-old. I was feeling down the rest of the day while Matt made out with 3 other guys. I put to rest the idea that I don’t belong with kids while I marched at the front of the United Way float. I need older people like Shawn or Dr. Rabbit. 

But the experience of marching and having Chicago pretty much cheer you on (despite the fact that you are bisexual) was absolutely breath-taking none the less.

But then everything changed my views on how friendly this day is when I saw this.

Ignorance

I believed that everything would be great- people accepting, but no. There’s always that one fucking asshole who has to go off and ruin it for everyone. I saw what happened with this group though. Everyone ganged up on them and threw food and bottles at them. I just kept thinking… Shit. Why create violence? It’s not the answer.

But who am I to do anything in a crowd like this….?
