Sorry for the non-response ... we went through a bit of a rough patch in the recovery process, and this morning, the patient is finally able to rest more comfortably. It's a real turning point in life when the mother-daughter roles change to this extent.
I hope you all had a wonder-filled holiday with good food and drink and loved ones close! BB, did most of the items on your list appear? Had I simply seen the list without a name, I would have known who wrote it!

Hallo Marja-Leena! Your photo really helped. I'm very glad you posted it! Except for a few catnaps, I haven't slept in 43 hours. And now I can't drift off. My Mama is doing much better now and I am optimistic. Kiitos for your kind wishes!

Thank you, Martha! My cat, who curled up in the crook of my neck and began to purr, was, as it turns out, the perfect sleeping aid. And I'm happy to say that today was a good day with very little pain for my Mama. The nurse taught me how to give her an injection this afternoon, and I surprised myself by being able to do it.
What a wild and wooley Xmas it has been.
