Beary Buttons

Today Deedee's Digis is sponsoring the new challenge over at Sentimental Sundays.  Both these teams hold a special place in my heart - Deedee's Digis because I'm currently on the DT, and Sentimental Sundays because I had the honor of being a guess designer.  The theme for this challenge at Sentimental Sunday's is Buttons.  I used Deedeeis Digi's "Teddy Frame" (which just happens to be a freebie in the Deedee's Digis shop!).  I colored the bear using pencils because I wanted him to have that rustic/furry feel...not sure I accomplished that but I did think it was rather cute:

Of course since the theme of the challenge is buttons....had to add a few!

So why not join us over at Sentimental Sundays as we sponsor this great challenge blog!  Oh - and don't forget that your card/project must contain a sentiment to be entered in their challenge.

Here's a little bit of encouragement for you today:

God bless you today and have a beautiful day!!!!!!  Thank you for stopping by!!!

Sentimental Sunday - Add a Doodle

Today is the last Sunday of March....and that means it's the last Sunday that I'm a Guest Designer at Sentimental Sundays.  It's been so much fun - what a talented group they are and what fun challenges!  I certainly will be back to participate!!!  I hope you join me too.

This week the theme is "Add A Doodle" and the sponsor is Scribbles Designs.  There are some FABULOUS doodle designs!!!  When I think "doodle" I think freehand, sort of messy in a good way....and what lends itself to that style?  Watercolors!  So I broke out the watercolor pencils!!!

I loved the flowers because I want spring to arrive so badly...yes, I woke up to 2 1/2 inches of snow this morning!  UGH!!!  So if it's not feeling like Spring outside, at least it can feel like Spring on this blog so flowers it is!  LOL!!

Come on over to Sentimental Sundays this week and show us some Doodling! Have a very blessed day!!!

Cute & Cuddly - Sentimental Sundays

Cute & Cuddly.  What a great theme don't you think?  That's the theme at Sentimental Sundays this week.  Our sponsor:

MilkCoffee
Donating: 3 images, winners choice

I used a sweet image called Flower for Mom.  How cute is it when a child brings their mom flowers?

I thought this paper was perfect for this card!

Thanks for stopping by today!  God bless you!!!

Sentimental Sundays - Cards for a boy/man

It's my second week as a Guest Designer for Sentimental Sundays.  This week the theme is "Cards for a boy/man".  I've heard so many people say that they struggle making cards for men and I have to admit that I do as well.  But I was up for the challenge!  The sponsor this week is QKR Stampede and I chose to use "Hug Me".  I loved him the minute I saw him!!!  His tie just screamed to be orange and I just went from there.  Orange isn't usually a color I use but hey - just go with the flow right?  LOL!!!

Come on over and join us at Sentimental Sundays.  I'd love to see what you create!!

I'm entering this card into the following challenges:

Sentimental Sundays - Sketch

I'm so excited to be chosen to be a Guest Designer at Sentimental Sundays for March!!!  Honestly I don't think I even come close to the talent of the Design Team so it's truly an honor.

For this week the theme is a sketch.  This really helps me out  because I always need a starting point it seems.  The sponsor is Rick St.James.  I chose to use Gigi for my image and wanted to keep the color scheme to a minimum....black & white with maybe just a pop of color somewhere....and what pops more than red?  I dug through my stash and found a red doily that I have never used so of course it had to come out of the stash for this challenge.  Here's the sketch:

Of course part of the joy of using a sketch is that you can use it at is, turn it, flip it, or just use it as an inspiration.  This was my final result:

So pop on over and show me some other ideas for the sketch over at Sentimental Sundays.  Don't forget that your card must have a sentiment somewhere.

I'm entering this card into the following challenges:
