Gracie or Sophie?

So I got this idea from my friend Camber's blog regarding her 2 darling boys, Dallin and Porter who look A LOT a like! I am posting pictures of both girls to show how similar they look. See for yourself!

Sophia Marie Brown

On July 13th, 2009 at 1:53PM, Zach and I welcomed little Sophia Marie into the world! She was 6 lbs, 13 oz. and 18 1/2 inches long! What a blessing! She is absolutely perfect! Labor and delivery went very well and very fast! So far she looks a lot like her big sister Grace, but sleeps much better! Speaking of Gracie, she absolutely loves her little sister and is very protective of her! I also just finished my first semester of Grad. school...aah...mildly overwhelming with an infant and a 2 1/2 year old! Currently, I have a 3 week break before fall semester starts and will be traveling to Bozeman and Seattle during that time.

Spring Days

So far we've had a busy spring...Easter, a trip to Salt Lake City with my friend Krissy to see Britney Spears, and another trip to see Britney Spears only this time it was with my friend Ashley who won a trip for her and 3 friends to Vegas...wow! I've only been to Vegas twice, both times I was pregnant! However, I didn't mind sipping virgin daquiris by the pool!! :) Earlier in April I found out that I have been accepted into the Idaho State University Family Nurse Practitioner program. Yes, I know, a two-year-old, an infant...what am I doing? Actually it is only part-time and I am definitely looking forward to school again. What can I say...I love school!!

As for Zach, he has been busy with work as usual! He and his dad and his dad's friend Bill Giglio headed out today for ice off fishing at a local reservoir. Zach has been a trooper this spring, not only for putting up with his pregnant wife and two-year-old daughter, but also for helping build a playset for her in our backyard! What a guy!

Grace is getting so big...95% in both height and weight! She is talking up a storm and loves to sing songs and play outside with our dog Skeeter. We've started setting up her "big girl" room so that it's ready in time for our baby #2...if you don't know, it's another girl and we've named her Sophie!

Pregnancy is definitely faster the second time around! I am currently 29 weeks pregnant and am hoping for another 38 weeker, like Grace!!

Grace's 2nd Birthday

So Gracie's Birthday was Saturday, February 21st...and what a blast! This year we had lots of little buddies running around!! Currently, one of Grace's favorite things is "Clifford, The Big Red Dog"...so we had a red velvet cake with Clifford on it. There aren't many party games you can organize with two-year-olds, so instead all the tots played with eachother. It was so great to have friends and family here to celebrate with us! My parents flew down from Bozeman to help with the event and I couldn't have done it without them. Alan and Melanie also helped by cooking some fabulous dishes!

We can't believe she's two! Why does time seem to fly by when you have children?
Anyway, thanks to all our friends and family for celebrating Grace's big day!!

Wow...it's time to update!!

So I know it's been forever, but I'm not the best at this blogger thing! I just finished orientation on the Labor and Delivery unit so now I am flying solo...yay!! Anyway, I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and were able to spend precious time with family and friends! Our family was hit pretty hard with a flu bug that picked us off like flies. Luckily, most of us were over it by the time Christmas rolled around.

Our Christmas was amazing! My parents and sister drove the dreaded route from Bozeman. My brother-in-law and his beautiful girlfriend Devon, as well as Zach's grandparents made it down from Washington. We all had a great time and Grace definitely had a blast opening presents!

We wish everyone a blessed New Year filled with happiness! We are pleased to announce that I am pregnant and due on July 19, 2009! Gracie will soon know the true meaning of siblings and...sharing!

Fun in the SUN

This past weekend we went to Lucky Peak with our good friends, Ashley and Andrew. We had fun watching Ash and Drew surf behind the boat! Zach and I didn't try it this time, but maybe we'll be brave enough next time! Grace came along and had fun watching all the splashing and water sports! We are actually going to Mazatlan with Ash and Drew at the end of September! Yay...a break away from reality! I actually start orienting to Labor and Delivery next week...on the day shift. I am both nervous and excited! So wish me luck as I help mommas bring their little wonders into the world!
