Journaling Card Tips

Journaling cards are really fun to use on layout / card or even on altered projects!

Whenever I see journaling cards, I enjoy cutting the images out of them and this time round I also arranged the pieces to make them part of the background. 

You can also use journaling cards to embellish a card.

Quick Christmas Cards

Hi everyone!  Alyssa here, and I just wanted to show you a few quick and easy cards I made using Cosmo Cricket's Dear Mr. Claus line.  This line is SO easy to use for cards.  They even designed a page of sentiments ready to cut apart and use.

Here are my cards:

For each card, I dry-brushed white acrylic paint around the edges for a snow effect, then added in the hand-cut elements from the paper.  Easy as pie!

Captured Moment Card

hey hey hey!! what a weekend it's been! I've been out and about & bz as a bumble bee *lol*..But I has lotsa fun nonetheless.. :) I visited my grandparents this weekend and it was lovely! :) I {heart} going back to their place though it makes me really sad to leave them behind when we return to the city..

Anyhoo, my DT Kit arrived last Wednesday and I dived right into it!! that's how eager I was to start creating *lol*....without further ado, here's the lil card I made using the so-very-pretty Girls Paperie Jubilee - Spree Patterned Paper, teamed with Hambly Studios Overlays - Portrait Gallery Black and Crate Paper Portrait - Chipboard Embellishments :)

Tuesday Technique

Today, I would like to share with you a very simple technique to add a little something to your cards. Pop up cards have been popular for years, and are so easy and fun to make.You might recall doing this in school during your younger years.

Step 1 on your card base, create a rectangle in the center of the fold line. The length of your line will allow to create different distance view of your pop up elements. Experiment is the key.

Step 2 Using a craft knife or a scissors, cut along the longer lines.

Step 3 Then fold this inwards, opposite the original fold as shown below

Step 4 Adhere the card base to another sheet of card or paper slightly larger than your base. This will become the front and back of your card. It will also cover the rectangular hole that was made.

Step 5 Now just create your “pop up” design, and attach it with strong tape to your folds

• Winners will be chosen randomly or by DT selection.
