25 years later: Madison firefighter reflects on 9/11, finding purpose after helping at Ground Zero
Robert Verhelst spent two weeks assisting with recovery efforts in New York City after the 9/11 attacks killed 2,977 people. He said even 25 years later it’s a difficult day but he finds purpose in remembering.
