Halloween Part II

Here are some more pictures of our Halloween adventures.

Here's Audrey Hepburn on her way to the church's trunk-or-treat.
Why so serious?

 Harry Potter Vidal
They were excited to trunk-or-treat.  We don't really do the door-to-door thing so this is their only chance to get a bunch o' candy.  I confiscate most of that anyway.  I'm such a mean mom.
 Crystal and Dawson came too.
Dawson and Crystal have such a good dad.  He does so much for them.  He took them both shopping for costumes and even helped Dawson color his hair grey.

At the ward trunk-or-treat someone, who will remain nameless, set off a few dry-ice bombs.  Here are the remains.
I have made the same chili for the cook-off pretty much every year we've been in the ward.  I've won twice now.  This year was 'overall best.'  A few years ago I won, 'most unique.'  I am not a huge fan of kidney beans, so the white chicken chili with northern white beans is my favorite.  This year it was well received!
Loren dressed as a mad scientists and set up this lab next to his car.  Loren goes all out.  It's fun to have him living nearby again.
Good thing we had two Batmans to make sure the Mad Scientist didn't pull anything tricky.

Here are a few pictures from the Kindergarten Halloween party.

Jamison singing her lively letters song.  This is the sign for A, "ah-ah-ah."
The kindergartners paraded around the school.  We met this cute kid in one of the great rooms.
Jamison had a great time on her parade.  She kept waving like she was in a real parade and wag .  She was so cute.
 Here is Jack-o-Noah.
JJ and Noah working on their Halloween crafts.
 Time for the party!
I snuck over to Bradley's classroom to see how his party was going.  Here is what I found.
 Such a goof ball!
On Halloween night, we had dinner at Sweet Tomatoes, ran home to dress up again, and trick-or-treated to Abuelo's house.  He's always so excited to see the kids.  And even though Abuela was at work, she made the kids a big back of healthy snacks.  The kids were so grateful!

We hope you all had a happy Halloween!

Halloween Part One

I think I'll blog about Halloween in two posts.  Why?  Because these fun pictures are already on the computer and the others ones are still on the camera.

Three of the kids picked their own costumes this year.

Bradley wanted to be Harry Potter.  I went a little overboard with his costume and bought every little piece because I knew he'd love it.  And he sure did.  He has read the first book and watched the first 2 movies.  He has tried the third one but gets a little scared so he is waiting.  He's so funny.  He made a great Harry Potter.

Jamison kept going back and forth between a cheetah, a lion, cat woman and a leopard.  She is so funny.  I guess she likes cats.  She ended up just loving a pre-packaged little tail, mask and bowtie from Wal-mart.  So, add a few black items of clothes and her costume was fairly simply.  She ended up wanting her face painted instead of the mask.  She is so cute.
I was upstairs getting the other kids ready while Jamison was taking her pictures with Anthony.  I was not involved in this one at all.  It was all Anthony and Jamison.  Pretty gross if you ask me.  She loved it!  You can see in her eyes and little smile just how fun she thought it was.
Conley wanted to be Batman.  And, the cutest little Batman he turned out to be!  I loved his costume.  Bradley and Conley like to play Lego Batman on the Xbox.  That's how he got the idea.  He was pretty serious when he put it on because I kept telling him Batman doesn't have dimples.  He tried so hard to get rid of them.

Then there's little Cora!  My mom and I found this little dress and I immediately thought of Audrey Hepburn.  The dress was at a second hand store for a dollar or two and the rest of the outfit I already had.  Since Bradley was a baby I've now put together 22 Halloween costumes.  This was the easiest yet.  I loved it!

Turns out they all ended up in black.  That's a first.   Good thing I love black.  They look so cute!

October Has Come and Gone

Here are a few more Sunday pictures I wanted to post.  These are from the last Sunday in October.  I forgot that I like to have the kids wear something orange on the Sunday before Halloween.  I also didn't do the orange dinner this year.  I had a concert at night and we didn't do a big dinner.   Oh well.  Next year for sure!

Pumpkin Patch

Enjoy these pictures from a pumpkin patch in Vegas.  Enjoy them while you can, because we won't be going here next year.  I was pretty disappointed with the whole thing.  I think the kids had fun but it was a waste of time, money and effort.  But, the pictures turned out cute.

I love this first one of Jamison.  The other three forgot what the camera means I guess.

Bradley got a kick out of the fact I gave everyone a little pumpkin to hold and then plopped a huge one in his lap.
 Where's Cora?
Yeah, it costed 4$ for them to go down the slide twice.  LAME!
 Such a cutie.
The petting zoo was fun.  Conley wanted to catch that duck so bad.
 Little goat.
I asked Cora if she wanted to eat it.  Sure enough, that's what she wanted to do.
Bradley had a GREAT time on this little contraption.  He got passed the impatience of the HOUR long wait pretty quickly when he finally got his turn.
He kept screaming "Geronimo!"  So funny!
The pony ride was fun.  Cora was a little skeptical but ended up enjoying it.
 Conley loved his ride!
 So did JJ.
Bradley was just light enough to ride the pony.  He loved it.
