Happy Me, Free Quick Page

Such a warm soft palette.  It'd be great to scrap up pictures with a masculine subject, too.  A touch of nature and boy, do I love those squares!  I layered the basic square element with coordinating papers from the kit.  Then I copied the background of my layers in PSE11 and clipped in all of the other coordinating papers from the kit.  Tip: It goes so much faster when you design your layout like a template and clip in your photos and papers.  Otherwise, you're stuck cropping and recropping until you get the perfect fit.

When you get a cool template with all of those squares, there's so much you can do with it.  Tip:  You can put a picture in each square, in a couple of squares or don't use any pictures in them, like I did here.  Show off all of those fabulous papers if you have them.  Use the squared template as a background or make it a feature.  Wouldn't it be awesome on a card?  Shrink it up, enlarge it, layer it up, add bling or use each square for progressional years photos of your kids and or loved ones.  My boys love to see this kind of progression.

More Free Halloween Printables From The Cherry On Top

Hey there, Happy Scrappers and Crafters!

We've got another hybrid edition together for you.  The big holiday is nearly here.  Are you ready?  I found an amazing full size skeleton, yesterday and I'm just over the moon.  This years yard and picture window is going to be amazing.  Just wait!

I posted this free poster printable (without frame) last week.  It's designed with goodies from MagsGraphics Designs, Halloween Horror.  It's a digital scrapbooking kit geared for your older ghouls.  Don't let the word scrapbooking put you off, if you are not into scrapbooking.  You can use these digital designs for all kinds of other projects.  This one here is a great example.

You can have the above project made in minutes and you can make it any size you want.  I had to make some adjustments with sizes of both the frame and the poster to get it to fit just right.  So make sure you check it all out before printing.  You could very easily shrink up the poster in your software program then layer the png frame I designed, over the top.  Easy peasy!

I printed both my frame and poster on regular paper, then glued them both to heavy, black card stock and cut around the frame with some room for the black border effect.

I wanted the frame to stand on its own so I designed this piece of card stock for the back to hold it up.

I can't believe I didn't think of this before.  I didn't even cut this leftover scrap of card stock that I had.  Simply score across the top, like I did here, put on your adhesive, set the frame up and the scrap to the position you like and press it on.  So easy!

This is the frame.  I made it in PSE with the shapes available right with the software.  I wanted to give you options with this digital frame, so I put it in a png version that you can get by clicking on the image.  This way you can use it in your digital stash any time you want without the background.

Free Halloween Printable Poster From MagsGraphics

Welcome to another scrappy edition of The Cherry On Top.

We are keeping things seasonally scary.  We've got MagsGraphics on the hot plate and she's cooking up all kinds of kits for your favourite Halloween photos and hybrid projects.  We have a fantastically frightening freebie for you as well as inspiration and different ways to use your digital stash.

Can you just imagine all of the cool things you can make with Halloween Horror?  Party invitations, drink labels, bag toppers.  Go nuts with all of these creepy goodies from MagsGraphics.

Do you scrap without pictures?  This is just pure digital design in action.  You don't always have to use pictures.  I scoured Pinterest for interesting Halloween quotes and got to work on this free printable poster.  Print it out on canvas, print it and stick it in a frame or modge podge it to a box lid.

Simply right click and save it to your downloads and print.  That's it!

Do you always work around the theme of a kit?  For Across The Galaxy, it's a Star Wars theme, but I didn't use it for my layout, below.  I didn't have any photos that were fitting that part of the theme so I used all of the elements and papers out side of that theme as well as a template from Brenian Designs to make this layout.

Everyone has their own preferences of how they scrap and my main reason is to remember the moments. I love using large photos.  I am all about the pictures and a little bit about the kit and goodies.

MagsGraphics, Ocean Adventure Free Template

Welcome to The Cherry On Top.  We've got another scrappy edition.  Things are getting hot outside, here in Belgium and hot in the digital world, too.  My goodness, I can hardly keep up with all of the new, lovely goodies coming out.

Today, I have MagsGraphics in the spotlight with her new summer fun kit, Ocean Adventure.  I love the colours and the whimsical goodies, too.  I never get sick of scrapping with summery beach kits and I love all of these fabulous memories of the boys at the beach.  They love it as much as I do.

The first layout, I wanted to show off Mag's lovely cards from the collection.  The second, matching layout I also used the lovely cards.  They are great for project life style layouts, too.  I wanted to go with a slanted look.  Man!  That was not easy.  I try to turn my difficult and popular layouts into free templates for the fans.  Keep scrolling to find it.
