It is now 2200 hours in medical or military time. Emily is officially exhausted. The babies head is in the transverse position and just does not seem to want to look down. He must already have a mind of his own because every time Emily gets close to her right side, baby Adams heart rate hits the skids. He just holds his breath and says "I don't like this!" Then the nurse comes in and turns off the pit! Then the entire process slows down again. So it is like two steps forward and one step back, but mom and babe are both hanging in there. We will see! She is now dialated to a seven and the doctor is on the way to check on the fetal heart tones. The nurse taking care of Emily does not feel comfortable running the pitocin without the doctor being close so he (Dr. Steve Nelson) is coming to the hospital to monitor the pitocin himself. Emily is sleeping off and on and the epidural is working perfectly. We just need more contractions so she can finish dialating. This is Elizabeth signing off for now!

Finally!
She is complete and pushing...but still having a little difficulty with the Fetal Heart Tones. He just likes to worry us I guess. More soon hopefully.
Monthly Milestones
Four {4} Months Old
I can't believe Adam is four months old today. Where has the time gone? He is changing right before our eyes, and there is not a day that goes by that we don't wish the clock could slow down. He is the light of our lives, and has brought so much love into our home. My favorite moment of the day is when I walk into his room when he wakes up in the morning, and he smiles up at me. He is so sweet. He smiles more and more every day, and it is the cutest thing ever. His smiles never get old. We take him to the doctor on Monday and I can't wait to see how much he has grown.
A few things about Adam at 4 month:
He is starting to grab for his toys.
He sleeps, and sleeps, and sleeps at night.
I am talking like 13-14 hours a night. Its weird.
He gets excited when we talk to him and wiggles like a crazy man.
We have continued to feed him rice cereal, and he is getting the hang of the spoon thing.
He has started drinking 8 oz bottles in the morning.
He sucks on his blankets.
He has discovered that he has hands and he can suck on them.
He and the Bumbo are becoming better friends.
He still does not love tummy time.
He fits into his 3-6 month clothes.
He can be hypnotized in front of the TV.
He has the cutest smile.
He drools lots more.
His baby hair is all gone.
He spits bubbles and babbles.
He is four {4} times as cute as he was last month.
Home!!
Well, first, I have to thank my mom for her updates. I am so glad she did it for me... heaven knows we had lots of time on our hands :) I was so glad my mom was there it was amazing. I have now joined the crew of people who have had my mom in the delivery room and words cant express how grateful I was to have her there. I dont know if I could have done it without her.
I must say that amid my nine months of "you know what" it was all worth it. We are so happy to have him here safe, sound, and healthy.
We made it home after three long nights in the hospital, and it is so good to be here. We are just loving our time with our new baby boy and I get a little emotional every time I look at him. We just love him to pieces.
My dad, Melissa, and Christian came into town late last night. They were itching to get here and they were so excited to finally meet adam. They all must have called my phone a hundred times for updates all along the way. Even though they were not there, they were all wonderful support to Casey and I through the Labor and Delivery. They have loved being here, and have almost completely taken him over.
My mom's sisters are also all in town for my grandma's birthday and they have also been here to see him. It has been fun to have them here as well.
We are all doing great and apologize for the lack of answering my phone. We have appreciated every comment, text message, and phone call. They have been so fun to read. Thank you so much for all of your kind words and concern. Here are some more pictures for your viewing pleasure :)

Teeth!
Answer me this. How in the world does time fly so fast when you have a baby, yet seem to stand still while you're pregnant? Whatever the answer is, I can't believe that our Elsie girl is almost 8 months old! She's the happiest. We are loving every second of her sweetness in our home! And those bottom two teeth are killing me with cuteness. Lucky for us, we get to be some of Boisbites silicon teether brand reps!

Elsie Babe at 7 Months
Our sweet Elsie girl.
Boy are we in love with you!
All of us, but especially Lila. And me. I really really love you.
I love that you are at my side (literally) all day, every day.
I can't imagine life any other way.
You are SUCH a chunk, and everyone around you loves it.
Its kind of a new thing for us, having a little chub, but man, do we love it!
You are just as sweet and even tempered as can be. I can read you like a book, which I really appreciate. You love your new high chair, and the baby food you get to eat while you are in it. BUT, you still love your bottle. Your two little bottom teeth kill me. They are so so cute. You are wearing clothes that fit Lila when she was way older than you. You are wearing outfits that I remember her walking around in. That makes me laugh. People say you look like Daddy. I'm not sure about that, but I do know that you have your own unique look, and whoever you look like, you sure are beautiful. You are still a pretty good sleeper. You sleep through the night, but sometimes, you still wake up. Sorry, but I won't get you. I'm too tired. :) This month, you are on the move!! You are rolling around like crazy, and scooting all over! Sometimes, you get in little jams and cry for hepl. Thats really the only time you cry though. Thanks for that! You have fallen off the couch twice, and the bed once...and your changing table. That one hurt! Sorry about that too! You love Adam and Lila, and they are so good to you. You laugh mostly at Adam. Lila was the same way. He is such a good big brother. You are so lucky to have him in your corner. All the neighbors love you. Especially Brooke! She LOVES to hold you every chance she gets. Max and Matty ALWAYS slow down to get a smile out of you. You always give it to them. The truth is, EVERYONE loves you! You are SUCH a good baby!
We love you so so much, and are so blessed to have you as part of our family.
You make a perfect addition.
BUT... You are growing up wayyy too fast, and I really hate that.
Please, slow down just a little and let me catch my breath.

Elsie 5 Months Old
Oh Elsie, you are just the cutest baby in the land.
We love you more and more with every passing day.
You've taken on a new nick name this month.
The Elsinator.
Seems to fit you...because of the little chunk you are becoming. And we are LOVING it!
You are still the happiest baby around, and so so good! Lila loves to sing to you, and this month, you are really starting to love books. It's the cutest thing ever. Whenever I open a book, you start to coo like you are reading it. You grab for the pages and really love it. So do I! You are super predictable, which makes it really easy for me. Oh, we just love you to bits! Thanks for coming to our family!

Baby Food
I tried to hold off on baby food as long as I could, but I finally gave in.
I'll let you determine how well she liked it...
