Kinsley's 1st Trip Skiing

 We took Kinsley {age 4} skiing for her very first time.  We were worried how she would act (sometimes she likes to whine and is a tad over emotional) but we were pleasantly surprised.  She LOVED it!
 She spent her first few runs crouched down like this but then learned to stay balanced standing up straight.
 When Kinsley showed this video to her grandparents she said, "I was so strong.  I was able to pull my big fat daddy down the mountain." Ummm.... we need to work on different adjectives.
 We had to stop and spend a few minutes in the lodge.... more for the sake of Eric than for mine or Kinsley's.  She is wearing her "I'm snow cute" shirt just for spending the day in the snow.
 Kinsley is excited to go again and says her favorite part of skiing was "Hitting the huge ginormous jumps and flying really high!"
 Eric says his favorite part was "stopping."  =)  Next year, perhaps, we will put her in ski school.

Fire Station

 We took our preschool class on a field trip to the Declo Fire Station.  A lot of them weren't able to make it because we've had the sickies going around our class.  The students that were able to make it had a great time and the firefighters did a great job explaining/showing things.
  The kids dressed up in the firefighter's uniforms.
Each student got the opportunity {and multiple opportunities after that} to honk the horn and ring the siren.  I had a headache for the rest of the day.
 How many preschoolers can you fit in a fire truck???....  You would be surprised.  =)
 Aila wasn't a fan of the noise {kids screaming, fire sirens, fire truck horn, etc.}.  The other kids however, had a BLAST!!!

Christmas Morning

Christmas morning Kinsley was really mad at Santa because he ate all of her sugar cookies.  She slightly got over her anger after she opened some presents.
{New learning games}
{new watch}

 {new clothes}
 Aila would have been perfectly content eating M&M's (from her stocking) all morning instead of opening presents.
 The girls got princess nightgowns.  Probably their favorite gift.  Kinsley immediately stripped down and put hers on and Aila soon followed her example.
 And then she pretended to fall asleep....
 {legos}
 Hope you had a Merry Christmas!!!

Christmas Eve

We had a fun filled, action packed, Christmas Eve! The morning was spent visiting with my best friend, Salina, as we attempted to make some pies for my family dinner.  No matter how hard I try... I still can't make a pie look pretty.  Eric went and did some last minute Christmas shopping as a secret Santa.  Later that evening we got together at my parents house.  We first delivered our Secret Santa gifts.  Then we decorated sugar cookies.
 My mom is one smart cookie... she had the kids decorate their cookies in their heated garage... with so many kids there were sprinkles E-V-E-R-Y-W-H-E-R-E!!!
 After a scrumptious dinner, complete with pie, we drew parts for the live nativity.  (In our family: Eric was the piano player, Aila was an angel, Kinsley and I were wise men.)
 (Jared as Joseph, Abby as Mary, London as baby Jesus, and Karson playing the donkey.)
 After the nativity we went downstairs to open presents.
 (All the girls, minus London, on the couch)
 The kids got matching warm-ups and a sleeping bag.  The adults got movie tickets and a gift certificate to stay at the Anniversary Inn.  {I LOVE GET-A-WAYS!!!}
 After things had settled down a little bit we were given yet another gift............
 DISNEY WORLD AND DISNEY CRUISE HERE WE COME 2013!!!!!!!!!

{You should have heard the screaming!}
