At the top of a hill, the city meets the forest. The site lies at the edge of Singapore's Central Nature Catchment Reserve, one of the island's most extensive natural landscapes. It seemed to offer an extraordinary opportunity: a family home immersed in nature, yet still within the city. The promise was clear. The difficulty was less apparent. At the levels where family life would ordinarily unfold, neighbouring houses surrounded the site and obscured much of the forest beyond. Opening the house indiscriminately towards its surroundings would expose the family to neighbouring views. Turning inward for privacy would risk losing the very landscape that made the site exceptional.

Industrial buildings are typically designed as fixed objects—efficient, economical, and tailored to immediate production requirements. When growth occurs, expansion is often improvised through attached sheds, inserted mezzanines, rerouted services, and compromised circulation. Compartment S4 challenges this conventional model by treating growth as an architectural premise rather than a future problem.

The project consists of a single-family residence located in Buenos Aires, situated across from a park that serves as a green lung for both the neighbors and the surrounding houses. The lot featured a pre-existing ground-floor structure that was partially repurposed: a railway construction dating back to the 1940s. The primary premise was to design a sustainable home that maximizes the use of the existing construction, incorporating dry construction systems to accelerate construction timelines.

A humble "build to rent" building of 37 dwellings in L'Hospitalet de Llobregat, located in a peripheral area, in an urban fabric in constant transformation from an industrial to a residential area and with limited economic resources. The design choices were driven by the search for a solution that takes advantage of the conditions of the site in relation to orientation, sunlight and comfort of its occupants, while being rational and economical, easy to maintain and flexible to future adaptations.

Casa Sassi occupies a double lot bordered at the rear by a remnant of native forest in a residential gated community in Caxias do Sul, in the Serra Gaúcha region. The generous size of the plot allowed for a centralized layout, keeping the residence set back from the side property lines and orienting the main openings toward the natural landscape.

Through careful and considered work, the house was gently refurbished and adapted to modern requirements. The focus was always on preserving its original character. Wherever possible, existing features were retained and their character enhanced.

It spreads across CorNori, set within a terraced sunken park at LUXELAKES, Chengdu: a nearly ten-metre change in level is negotiated by gently sloping paths that connect the neighborhood entrances with the metro passage, while several small commercial nodes are dispersed throughout the site.A field of seemingly floating timber roofs extends across the changing levels and connects from one part to the next, bringing commercial spaces, movement through the park, and places to pause beneath a single continuous canopy.
