September flew by. Even with only one child at home, we manage to stay busy and time flies by. Grant danced in the Powder Puff football game halftime.
Avery had her first day of school.
Ryan left the Mexico MTC and flew to Barranquilla, Colombia! Then he met his companion and took an 8 hour bus ride to Valledupar, where he lives now. It's crazy that he is there now, being a missionary, doing the work! The work is slower than he would like, but he is staying positive and trying to learn all he can. His companion is kind (for which I am grateful). It is super hot!
I hosted Lunch Bunch with Grant and his friends. So fun to have them all over for lunch!

Grant went to Homecoming! Both the football game and the dance the next day. He took his friend Abby and had fun.

Dustin bought a box of peaches from a friend at work and we spent an afternoon canning them. A couple of days later we had to bottle a bunch of pears that I picked from our neighbor's trees. Now we have lots of fruit on our shelves!
I picked up Dustin's dad from the airport and we went to lunch.
We spent an evening at the State Fair with Gramma Lana. This picture was in honor of Ryan. We call him Fry Guy.

Dustin spent a week in Orlando for work and "worked" really hard at Sea World, Universal Studios and the Museum of Illusion. I'm glad he had good co-workers to go to the conference with, or it wouldn't have been near as much fun!
I had to work my first actual Jumbo Bright event. I actually had to do two that week. Poor Grant. I was working 12 hour days and Dustin was out of town. But, we all survived! And, they had puppies to look at, at my event.

Grant and I had one evening together while Dustin was gone. We didn't waste it! Texas Roadhouse for us.
My friend, Jenn and I helped with the food at our other friend Jen's son's wedding. Dustin was still out of town, so we did the photo booth together and made some awesome faces and discovered after the fact that we had to put a copy of it in the couple's wedding book. I'm sorry, Brad and Annie, for the scary face I pulled. I didn't know it would be public...

We went on a hike near our house and this beautiful storm blew in. We ended up running home in the rain, with lightning all around us. But, we survived and laughed a lot.

We said a sad goodbye to the Preschool! I couldn't bring myself to take it all down, all summer long, but in the Fall, I decided it was time. It was sad, but we are in the process of making the space usable for our family. I guess I really am done being a teacher.
Another beautiful temple night. Taylorsville this time. When the Bountiful temple is closed, we get to visit other temples in our area. I'm so grateful to live where we do!
God is good.
My dad was in charge of the Memmott Reunion this year. He asked me to help with the games, so I created a Memmott BINGO, and Memmott Trivia. It was a hit (especially with the two 9 year olds, haha!). It's always fun to get together with extended family and remember the amazing people who came before us. I am grateful for my heritage!
On one of our many trips to Lowe's (home improvements all the time), Grant and I discovered these awesome glasses that make all the lights look like Christmas shapes! I know what my missionary kids are getting in their packages this year... And yes, as I'm writing this, October is almost over. It is practically Christmas!! I'm so excited!
