so. let's give a big fat holla to the baby today - we only gained 1 pound in the last month. now, i know that doesn't seem like a big deal to you - but it IS! my doctor was so proud that i didn't gain any more - and i almost cried. whatever weight i gain - is what is going to have to come off once i'm done with this pregancy. so - the less, the better. believe me.
baby is good.
we're slowly getting closer and closer to the due date. hip-hip-hooray!

and the winner is....
....Grandpa Earl.
he's the first one to touch my "belly", trying to feel the baby.
and it was weird.
good thing i didn't swat his hand away. i would have felt bad.

all about pockets.....
this post is totally dedicated to the hubby-bubby.
first of all, sister-dear, here is the hubby-bubby's very own apron. he was smart enough to put on his own this time. :)

second - here is a pic of the alien baby so far, as of 3/19/10. he's getting nice and big. and so am i.

so - here is the pocket story.
the hubby-bubby never knew that pockets came sewn shut on purpose - just basted shut, you know? so last night we were talking about his blazer that he wears to church and i said - oh, we should cut open your pockets. (I tried to put something in one of them at church last week and noticed that they were still sewn shut. how long has he had this blazer? years.)
so - he said - well, i never knew they did that on purpose. and then he said - i wonder how many pairs of pants and stuff i've never bought cause i thought they didn't have real pockets.
yes, folks, these are the kinds of conversations that happen at our house.
so - in case any of you don't know - pockets usually aren't "fake". they are usually just sewn shut until the owner buys the item, takes it home, and cuts open the little basting threads and voila! you are now the proud owner of pockets!
i hope i've just made a difference in all of our lives.
happy monday.

why are weekends so awesome?!?!
i don't know about you - but i LOVE the weekends. but they go by WAY too fast, don't they?

nothing better than finding a man in a "dress" in my kitchen. ESPECIALLY when he's cooking.

i wonder what lori found in her diaper this morning. :)
nothing like a piece of green St. Patrick's day french bread

i must explain.
the hubby-bubby thinks he is funny when he takes random pictures of people and for some reason this made me laugh SO hard when he was doing it last night.
this is how good his picture turned out.

and this is my attempt at doing the same thing.
didn't work out so well.

and here's the big shout-out for this week's birthday boy.
here's to the big 3-3 for you!

have a cold?
if you have a cold - please stay away from me.
apparently my body just loves germs right now and can't wait to get the next cold that's going around.
so if you have a cold - please stay away.
yours truly,
me,the germ-lover

a little cold?
i guess there is a chill in the air at our house. cause eggs aren't supposed to be solid, right?
we were all excited to make french toast the other day and lo and behold - all of our eggs were frozen! the hubby-bubby peeled one just to see what it looked like and here it is.

my suggestion - never take a whiff of a frozen egg. it is so nasty. i almost threw up on the spot.
lesson learned: if we come knocking on your door for eggs - you'll know why.
