I haven't touched this poor sad blog in approximately two years. Much like Video Killed the Radio Star, Instagram Killed the Weeds Seeds Blog.
BUT. This morning, I was thinking about Father's Days past, and so I got onto the blog and started reviewing. It was good. It was a look into sweet times past. In particular, this post caught me, from Father's Day 2012. Nathan was 8, Cody was 5, and Leah was 3. It made me smile, and then made me get up off my lazy 2020 bum to do the same for Spencer and Gigi, ages 7 and 4. So that 10 years from now, we can look back and have those same warm fuzzies, here we go!

Grace: I'll only play one round with you.
Spencer: How do you argue with your mother?
What makes Dad happy?
Grace: When I snuggle with him.
Spencer: Knowing that he got a motorcycle.
What makes Dad sad?
Grace: When I don't let him call me Georgie.
Spencer: Us arguing.
What does Dad do that's funny?
Grace: When he makes a mad face at me, it really actually makes me laugh.
Spencer: When he goes, "oh, yeah, yeah, yeah," then he puts his thumb down and goes, "pppphhhhhttttttthhhhhhpppppttt!"
What did Dad like to do as a little boy?
Grace: Play Mean Bird.
Spencer: Watch Star Wars 4.
What does Dad love to do?
Grace: Watch Price is Right.
Spencer: Play on his phone.
If Dad were famous, what would he be famous for?
Grace: For being a DJ, you know, *makes DJ scratching motions*
Spencer: Chiropractic stuff.
What does Dad do when you're not around?
Grace: Still plays Mean Bird.
Spencer: Probably goes to work. As long as it's not Coronavirus.
Where is Dad's favorite place to go?
Grace: Probably Pojo's.
Spencer: I assume Pizza Pie Cafe.
What is Dad really good at?
Grace: He's good at making me laugh.
Spencer: Adjusting people.
What is Dad not good at?
Grace: Making me smile. (So he's good at making you laugh, but not at making you smile. Contradictory much???)
Spencer: Playing guitar.
What does Dad do at work?
Grace: Adjusts people.
Spencer: He adjusts people and makes money.
What is Dad's favorite food?
Grace: Brussels sprouts.
Spencer: Strawberry Jello Cheesecake
What does Dad do that makes you happy?
Grace: He lets me have screen time at his office on the computer.
Spencer: Reads to me.
What do you and Dad do together?
Grace: Watch Jesus videos.
Spencer: Read
How are you and Dad the same?
Grace: We both watch Price is Right.
Spencer: He, me, and Nathan are triplets, except they are older than me.
How are you and Dad different?
Grace: Because I don't have a laptop.
Spencer: Because I've got more hair than him probably.
What does Dad like about Mom?
Grace: Isn't it obvious? He likes going out on dates with you.
Spencer: That she's nice and pretty and that stuff.
How do you know that Dad loves you?
Grace: Because he always sings me songs at nighttime.
Spencer: Because he reads to me.
Ryan's been kicking this fatherhood thing in the head for 16 years now, with no signs of stopping. Let's be honest, the man was built for fatherhood in a way that not all men are. It's dang hard work, and it's exhausting, but it's also his happy place. Working hard (in all ways-both inside and outside of our home) to give our kids a happy life and a good foundation-that's his highest priority, and his highest self. And we love him for it. Happy Father's Day, old man!
