Well, we did it for Mother's Day and we're doing it again for Father's Day. Here's what our kids think about and know about their daddy...
Dad always says
Cody: Hello kiddles.
Nathan: Water the garden.
What makes Dad happy?
Leah: Play a game.
Cody: Mom cooks very good.
Nathan: Hard workers.
What makes Dad sad?

Cody: He makes funny faces a lot.
Nathan: He teases a lot.
What did Dad like to do as a little boy?
Leah: Play.
Cody: Watch cartoons.
Nathan: He liked to do math.
What does Dad love to do?
Cody: Go out to a restaurant.
Nathan: Cut wood.
If Dad were famous, what would he be famous for?
Cody: Our family.
Nathan: The biggest zucchini grown in the world.

Leah: Makes mama sad.
Cody: Cries.
Nathan: He goes to work and adjusts people.
Where is Dad's favorite place to go?

Nathan: He adjusts people.
What's Dad's favorite food?
Leah: Eggies.
Cody: Tuna Casserole Something.
Nathan: Toast.
What does Dad do that makes you happy?
Cody: He buys me vitamins.
Nathan: He lets me cut wood with him.
What do you and Dad do together?
Leah: He wrestles me.
Cody: We play golf lots of times.
Nathan: Weed the garden.
How are you and Dad the same?
Cody: We both have short hair.
Nathan: We have brown hair.
How are you and Dad different?
Cody: Our eyes aren't the same color.
Nathan: In school, I don't like reading.
What does Dad like about Mom?
Leah: Loving.
Cody: She makes dinner lots of times so daddy doesn't have to make it.
Nathan: She's a good cook.
How do you know that Dad loves you?
Leah: Wrestles me.
Cody: He says it to me lots of times.
Nathan: He does lots of things with me.
*In daddy's defense, I'd like to say that he makes them pancakes and waffles and French toast pretty much every morning and they lap it up.
** (And now we know what daddy really does all day. Just relaxes and eats fruit snacks.)

Survey Says...
Dear Peeps,
It is time. We are t-minus 5 days before we find out the gender of this small Weedling. This is big news, right? Big news.
Many people have asked me if I have an inkling. A mother's intuition about the gender of this child. To which I reply, "NOPE!" Because every single time I have had an "inkling" it has been wrong. Thought Nathan was a girl. Thought Cody was a girl. Finally realized that I was going to be having all boys. Thought Leah was a boy. Thus we see, I give up. I'm out of the "guessing what it is" game because all it proves is that I have no mother's intuition and thus will probably end up being a bad parent to this child.
But, that doesn't mean that you can't guess what it is! I mean, if you're wrong, well you're just wrong, and it doesn't mean that you're going to be a bad aunt or grandma or friend to this child. Being wrong as the mother carries some heavier consequences. ;)
So, to help you make your guesses, I will tell you what all of the old wives tales say, and then you shall log your guess. Make it official! Make an actual comment and tell me what you think it is!
Ok, so there's the one about carrying high or low. High is supposed to be a girl, low is supposed to be a boy. I carry all over. So good luck.
There's the fetal heart rate thing. 140 beats or lower is a boy and higher than 140 is a girl. Baby has clocked in at 160 and 150.
The cravings one-if you crave salty or sour, it's a boy, if you crave sweet, it's a girl. Well, I'll be real honest, I've never craved much salty in my life, it's pretty much always sweet. But that being said, I haven't been known to turn down a nice crunchy Cheeto during this pregnancy... but at the same time, who doesn't want something sweet pretty much always? And I have eaten a lot of oranges, which are both sweet and sour. Again, good luck with that one.
The Chinese calendar says it's a girl.
The Drano method-sick, I'm not doing that one.
The Mayan thing says it's a boy (if your age and the year of conception are both even or both odd, it's a girl. If it's one even, one odd, it's a boy.) Sounds like a strange load of tosh to me, and I hadn't even heard that one before, until I started doing the research for this post.
The hair part method: this one is all about which way your existing children part their hair...? Kind of confusing, but suffice it to say in my family, parting hair to the left indicates that the next one will be a boy, and parting hair to the right indicates that the next one will be a girl. So, Nate parts to the left, Cody's a boy. Cody parts to the right, Leah's a girl. Leah parts to the left, so the next one is supposed to be a boy. This is a confusing method and I can't find it on the internet. And you and I both know that if it's not on the internet, then it's probably not real, but it's one that Ryan espouses and it says that we're having a boy.
So what, pray tell, do you say? Now, I have put a poll at the top of my sidebar there, so you can just click that, but then you won't be on record as being right or wrong, so even if you vote there, I still think you should comment here and say what you think it is. :) Ready, go!

Cancel the rest of summer.
Naturally, we chased the Discovery Center with a trip to the Mongolian BBQ, which one of my children seems to think is my favorite place in the world. And while I don't think that it actually is my favorite place in the whole wide world, it is darn good.
We've had trips to multiple parks
So, seriously, we can cancel the rest, right? All the fun's been done!
PS, Dear PicMonkey, thanks for the new collage feature!
