Ok, so I haven't posted in awhile. This may be due to my falling into a deep dark hole called......

Let's Talk About Leah
P O T T Y T R A I N I N G
Gasp. Cry. Horror. Faint. MY LAND I hate potty training. So here's the scoop (on the poop... yuk, yuk, yuk and yuck). I've been searching the internet for an hour trying to find the answer to my problem, but I can't find it, so I'm turning to you. Help me.
Ok, so SHE decided it was time to potty train, NOT ME. But her first night, she went poop on the potty twice, so I figured we could probably handle it. Over the next week, she had 5 accidents. That's it. I felt pretty good about that. Of course, it COULD be due to the fact that we spent every waking moment in the potty. She'd go about every 22 seconds. Which was annoying because 19 of every 20 were false alarms, BUT it kept the accidents down.
So now we've been doing this for about a month. She does fine if we are at home and she is either nudey or just has unders on. She's pretty good at that. (Except for one day when, in the space of 20 minutes, she pooped on the floor upstairs AND cut her flipping hair. That was a bad day for me.)
So other than that day, she's done pretty well. But the SECOND you put clothes on? She can't do it. And it's not that she can't take her clothes off, because she certainly CAN do that. I find her naked in her crib all the time. And I haven't put her in anything difficult to remove-mostly soft, cottony things and easy skirts. But as soon as she's not naked, she pretty much pees. This is difficult, as clothing is a prerequisite to the outside world. So we've stayed in the house, naked (her) and crazy (me), but when we must leave (church or something), she pees.
So my question is thus: what do you do with a kid who can do the whole potty thing at home when basically naked, but can't do it with clothes on? And the issue with the clothes is NOT that she CAN'T remove them? What do you do? And at what point do you say, "Well, I guess we're really not ready for this, let's try again in 6 months" because that's where I'm at. I am SO READY TO GIVE UP. I am sick of not going anywhere unless Ryan's home to be with her naked self. I am sick of potty training.

Cody's Start
Cody started preschool yesterday. Look at him. Isn't he a champ?
Man I love this kid. You think I'd be sad to lose my little buddy for a few hours every day, and I am, but I couldn't even muster a sad face because he was so happy. As we pulled up into the parking lot, either his natural positivity took over or he started spouting all of the encouraging things we've been saying over the last few weeks, but he started shouting, "This is going to be great! I love school! I'm going to make lots of new friends! Now it's time for FUN!" Mind you, this is before we ever walked in the door.
Fair warning to school. School? You will never be the same again now that my Cody has entered your walls. Everything is better with Cody around. You'll see.

Said (version 5.0)
Said Cody (judgmentally) as he listened to Leah's complaints that the car seat hurt her back, "Uhhhhhh, I think that's fiction."
Said Leah to Mommy when Daddy suggested that she could help me get in the shower, "Yes! I will shave your neck!"
Said Nathan after learning that his friend was moving, "Kimmy is moving... to T-Rexburg."
Said Leah when she didn't want to be tickled anymore and I asked her what better thing she had to do, "Email."
Said Cody at dinner, "Can I have a cartoon?"
Said Leah about the same thing, "Can I have a coupon?"
They're both talking about croutons.
Said Leah as she assumed this position:
"I'm folding my eyes..."
Said Leah as I painted her nails for the first time, "Dis smells good... or something..."
And then said Leah, as she was flitting her newly painted nails around, "Feels niiiiiiiiiiiiiice."
Said Cody, "Mama, Nathan's being mean to me. He's just telling on me every time I do something I'm not supposed to do."
Said Leah when requesting fish for dinner, "It's my fwavorite choice."
Said Leah when requesting a potty training treat, "Inna starwars." (Starburst)
Said Nathan when Grandma asked him why he didn't think he should take piano lessons, "Well, because I can't think of a vocation that would require it."
Said Leah as we walked past a very fluffy, very small dog, "It's a cat. It's a dog. It's a catdog boygirl."
Said Nathan while explaining his book, "It seems that even fashionable people can be villainous."
Said Leah as we drove to church, passing some pedestrians who were clearly not on their way to church, "Get to church, buddy!"
