Well, baby had her doctor's appointment yesterday. She weighed in at 9 pounds, 6 oz. Back to birth weight. 2 weeks late, but she made it. A week of NOTHING but nursing and round the clock feeding drama produced 5 ounces of weight gain. In some ways, I feel proud of that. And then I stop to think about how measly 5 ounces actually is.
Lightweight.
9 people want me to keep blogging.:
good work dude. feel really proud.
i want to meet that lightweight--saw the 45 toward dallas today and almost just took it.
seeing your boys in their beautiful green ties reminds me i want to go check the ol JCP after-easter steals on church duds. because i knew how good it would be there after easter i couldn't bring myself to get any kids' clothes for the actual holiday. terrible. thanks for changing my life.
You're doing a great job with that adorable baby! Keep up the good work!
You're terrific! Way to go Mom! She is the most healthy, beautiful little baby . . . just keep up the good work!

Nice work...and is it just me, or does Leah look a lot like Nathan in this picture? So very cute!
All your hard work will pay off in the end! I look up to you so much!! You have the best looking kids--besides Wesley of course!!
Yes-I also think Leah looks like Nate as a baby. I'll have to see if I can rustle up some baby pics of Nate and Cody and post them.
hahaha! look at me guessing your baby's weight while holding her today! oh yeah, i'm a pro.
bethany, first of all, I LOVE MY JEWELRY!!!! seriously! you rock! second of all, YOUR BABY IS RIDICULOUSLY CUTE! i need at least one solid hour of snuggling with her at church, deal? she's perfect.
I really love this picture and her smile. Fun adventures at your house... keep it up!
Thanks for your comment on my post, and I'm so glad things are looking up for you guys! I keep going back and forth about talking to a lactation consultant because when he decides he's willing to nurse he now latches and eats great. You have more experience than me, do you think there's still something she could help with? My email is dlgow @ gmail.com, maybe you can send me her contact info. We did try soy formula and it didn't seem much better, but really I can't judge it because he's only had formula five or six times, so probably not a real fair shot, plus it's been a while. I really do enjoy our bottle feeding time much more, so I agree with your bonding comment. When he does nurse I'm afraid to even look at him because I don't want to distract him and have him come off! I think I'll make a decision one way or another after this weekend and just stick with it...limbo is too frustrating :)
I'm sure I sound like a broken record copying everyone else's comments, but Leah is absolutely adorable!
