So the other day, Nathan came up to me with a pen and paper and asked if I would help him write a letter to daddy. Sure. Here's the letter:
Dear Daddy-
I know that the gospel is true in our church and I really really really know the gospel is true. And I know that we can say nice words and not mean words and I know that the gospel is true. In the name of Jesus Christ, amen.

Every little boy longs to discover some way to get his Daddy's undivided attention. He wants his Dad's praise. Early on they discover the avenue of shared experience that will earn them that highest reward. They discover their daddy's passion so they can share it. Clearly Nathan has already discovered that outside the family that he is already a part of, his daddy's greatest passion is the gospel. So, he's embracing the thing that will bring him the greatest praise. Pretty smart and sensitive little kid! Keep up the good work mom and dad! You're gettin it done right!
