Family visit

Jeremy's brother and his family recently came here for a visit. Kamryn and I met up with them at Disneyland for a couple of days. Then Jeremy found out he had the whole weekend off, which rarely happens, so we decided to have a little mini-vacation and stay the weekend in San Diego. So we were able to go swimming at his brother's hotel one night and hang out at Sea World the next day. It was fun hanging out with them. Kamryn loves the attention her cousins give her.

Busy, busy, busy

This past week was pretty busy for us. We went to a Valentine's party, where the kids exchanged Valentines, and decorated cookies. It was so funny watching the kids just dip into the icing and lick the knife (plastic) and then put it back into the frosting. Then later in the week we went to Kidspace. Then, Disneyland with Nana. We went to the Princess Fantasy Faire, and Kamryn was invited to a personal visit with Cinderella. Then she had a crown to decorate. Then the next night my mom and I went to see Wicked. It was my second time, and her first! It was so great! I love it, and was so glad to be able to see it again.

Update

Just to let everyone know, Kamryn is doing much better. We'll find out the results from the ultrasound in a few days. She was pretty happy to be out on a walk the other day, but it was a little chilly!

Success gone wrong

So Kamryn is still doing great urinating in the potty. However, the poor girl now has a urinary tract infection. I don't know if it was from holding it, or what. She had a fever last Thursday, we took her to the Dr. on Friday. She was put on antiobiotics. Then on Monday they called us with the results from her urine culture and we needed to change her antibiotics. Today after waking up from her nap, she felt warm and I took her temperature, it was almost 103! So we are watching the fever tonight and calling the Dr. back tomorrow to report. She may be coming down with something totally unrelated. Next week when she finishes her antibiotics we have to take her to the Dr. again and have her urine checked to make sure the antibiotics worked. From there I have to take her to get an ultrasound of her kidneys! Apparently, this isn't common in kids under 3 and they take it pretty seriously. Let's hope tonight goes well and her fever stays down.

Success

As you can see, we have been trying to potty train Kamryn. After a couple of accidents, she successfully peed in the potty on Thursday. Jeremy was home with her, while I was at work so he took a picture for me. (I hope this doesn't gross out anyone) Then on Friday she peed all over the couch! That was really fun cleaning up. Good thing we have leather couches. But we have a new rule in our house, no sitting on the couch without a diaper. Then on Saturday she made it in the potty twice and the other time a little got on the floor and then the rest in the potty. Yesterday she also made it in the potty three times, without any accidents. I think the few accidents she had really bothered her. So she panics when she is on the potty and is about to pee. But then once she finally starts to go, she realizes that she isn't getting wet and is happy! She has gone #2 a couple of times, but I don't think we have that one down yet. This morning she peed in the potty again, and didn't even panic. I think she is getting the hang of it. If anyone has any advice on this subject, I welcome it!

Double Christmas and The Rose Parade

WARNING: You are about to see a million pictures! I figured since I haven't posted anything in a while, I'd make up for it with a million pictures. We first had Christmas at my parents house, which was a lot of fun. Kamryn was really excited about her tricycle. Too bad her legs aren't long enough to reach the pedals yet! She has this obsession with Snow White for some reason, so when she saw that Santa brought her a Snow White outfit, complete with a crown, purse and slippers, she was soooo excited! She has worn it everyday since! Then we headed to Utah to celebrate with Jeremy's family. Kamryn had a lot of fun playing with her cousins, going swimming, and playing in the snow! Then we went to the Rose parade, which was so great! My mom and Jeremy's brother came with us too! Actually, we were on T.V., we didn't know we were, but we had a couple of people call to say they saw us, so since it is repeated over and over all day, we recorded it, and sure enough the camera was totally zoomed in on my mom, Kamryn and I and Jeremy's brother. Jeremy was standing behind us. You can see his shirt, but not his face! It was a great Christmas and New Year! We hope everyone had just as fun as we did!

Yay!
