Albuquerque thus far

Jake's family came down & visited us last wednesday...we had so much visiting with them, we hadn't seen them in 3 months! We did lots of swimming, we went to Old Town Albuquerque, & went on the biggest Tramway in the world, it's probably about 1,000feet in the sky & 2.7 miles long. Needless to say I feared my life! I just sat there clinging to a bar looking at the floor while everyone enjoyed the scenery & the tour guide made small jokes about the cart breaking :( I was so sick to my stomache, ugh! when we did get to the top it was beautiful! We ate at the restaurant at the top, which was fun. Then when it was time to get back on the cart, I started freaking myself out, I didn't wanna get back on but Jake told me if I didn't go I would have to live at the top of the mountain forever, he made a great case so I got on the tram again & stared at the floor once again. When you would go past the wheels turning the cables the cart would shake & my heart about dropped every single time, I am glad I will never have to do that again! Monday came & we were sad to see the family go but we will see them soon! Dax & Harrison were so funny together, I can't wait till they are just a little bit older so they can be fully entertained by eachother, they will be best friends!
*******Dax is basically walking, it's not his main transportation cause he is such a fast crawler, but he loves to do it & is so good at it, he can about a dozen steps, I need to post a video of it, I am such a bad mom I haven't even recorded it yet :( He has been doing it for over a week now! ALSO he is giving high 5's, low 5's, & he is finally clapping, it's more of a golf clap, what can I say he is just a classy guy!****

Our Chico, California Trip.....

So we went to go see my family in California, we had so much fun! It was so HOT, it got up to 112degrees! So Dax's PaPa Evans went to the store & got him a little pool & him a standing water toy where you can play with boats in. Dax loved it! He also loved playing in the mud, he would be outside playing with his papa & I would walk out there & he would be covered in mud, it was pretty cute! When he was super muddy his Gramsy would just give him a outdoor bath, then he would crawl around outside naked :) For Dax's 10month birthday we went to this yummy restaurant, Dax had some pasta & bowl of vanilla ice cream. He only wanted to feed himself, so we just let him, it was a mess but that's what boys do, I am finally use to it by now. For Jake's birthday my parent's flew him in to California, which was so nice of them & so fun! I am so grateful they treat him like one of their own kids. Jake is 26 now WOW! We also took Dax on his 1st boat ride on the Chico River, he liked it but didn't like his life jacket so much :(
SO Before Jake left Indy to california, he packed up all our whole apt, & had a rep drive our car to Albuquerque NM, so for the rest of the summer here we are in New Mexico! I am pretty excited about this new scenery, & my good friend Candice lives right above me! Also it is beautiful here in my opinion & there is so much culture I love it.
*** FOUR new things! Dax is getting his 1st tooth (about time!), He got his 1st black eye yesterday (what a manly boy!), Dax can take 4-5 steps, & lastly after 10 months he is FINALLY SLEEPING THROUGH THE NIGHT! You heard it we have not had sleep for 10 MONTHS!!! Can you believe we've gone that long without sleep? Only when we visit my mom or she visits us did we a break. FINALLY is all I can say!

The 4th of July

What a fun day it was, we went to breakfast at Denny's with friends...when went we went home we did some party poppers & Dax hated them & I posted a *video* below of his reaction! Then at 6 we went and did some serious barbeque'in, potato salad, fruit salad, cheesewursts, cheeseburgers, & steak, yum! The boys had 2inch thick 1lb+ steaks! We sat around & talked for awhile it was so fun, we could not stop anticipating our fireworks. There was an open area right before you enter our apartments where just about the whole office out here was going to meet, when everyone got down there, there was about $1500 in fireworks, & not just snakes & sparklers, we are talkin the big artillary shells you see at the big shows! Our little group went out a few minutes earlier than everyone else & lit some, & Dax would cry with every little firecracker including the snaps Eden was throwing. Eventually he stopped the cry & would just burrow everytime one went off, after about 2 hrs of it he finally was ok with them & we could get him to do some sparklers & then stayed for over another hour of fireworks! Oh & for some reason we thought Minnie would enjoy fireworks, we were so wrong, she ran away all the way back to our front door! She weaved her way through the apartments about 1/4 of mile from where we were, I don't know how she found her way home, what a smart dog!

Cheese & Finger foods ONLY please!

So Dax is all about his cheese & finger foods lately, no baby food. He does this snorting grunt thing, his nose curls up & his eyebrows squish together, it's cute but it happens when he he sees a bag of shredded cheese or a tube of crackers. It's so funny!!! He will just drag around a tube of crackers with him. If he is not dragging the tube of crackers he is dragging his blankie around the house, its cute putting it in cupboards or drawers. His snorting face is my new favorite thing, but I cant seem to get a picture of it, I need to try today whip the packages of cheese & crackers out at the same time & shake them or something! Dax is all about kisses too, you just have to ask & he will lay a wet one on ya! He has been so attached to Jake it breaks my heart to see him get upset when Jake has to leave, he crys when his daddy walks out the door :( This week we also went to the baby gymboree class & learned about riding things! Marci set up a kiddie pool & invited us over to her patch of grass yesterday, & Eden & Dax had popcicles while Marci & I cooked outside, by that I don't mean cooking food I mean cooking our bodies to a beautiful golden brown. K not golden brown more of mocha? hmmm...Anywho! These wont be in order, but I am running late to lunch date with the wives so here is everything very unorganized & hopefully titled right!
