Fall is here

Greetings, family and friends!  Apologies for another long delay, but here are some current pictures of our festivities from late summer/early fall.  Hugs to all!

Long time, no see!

I apologize for our break in posts and I have no excuses!  We have been doing lots of fun things, between work and play.  Here are some of our favorite pictures since we've last seen you.  Hope you are having a great summer!

Lake season begins

We had a great time kicking off boating season at Lake Travis! 

We started with a pre-lake pool dip

 And then it was off to the boat!

She loved watching the waves from the back of the boat (my sister and I used to man the same position on our grandfather's boat)

First trip to the Houston Zoo

As part of Ava Grace's first birthday celebration, Aunt Pam joined us for a trip to the zoo!  She had a great time viewing - and touching! - the animals.  It was a great day for the three of us, and I see many more visits in our future.

Visit from old friends

We had a wonderful visit with Ann (Courtney's college roommate) and her son Colin (3 months younger than Ava Grace) from Dallas and it was SO much fun!  Having 2 kiddos as our focus was definitely a far cry from our college days, but we managed to sneak in a few glasses of wine and reminisce... so in that sense, some things never change :)

Happy First Birthday!

Happy Birthday to our beautiful baby girl!  Thanks to all of our wonderful family and friends who keep up with Ava Grace through her blog.  It has been a remarkable year and we are so very blessed.

We had a small family celebration this weekend and enjoyed letting Ava Grace have her first taste of sweet stuff.  As you'll see below, we went through a progression of emotions...
