What A Funny Kid

When I was in the hospital Gavin and Laney came one day to see Canon. Canon was sporting his customary hospital hat. Laney was all over Canon wanting to hug him and love him. Gavin was a little more apprehensive. We assumed that the lack of excitement had to do with being in the hospital and not really with Canon. However, the apprehensiveness could have just been because of Canon's hat. Gavin said that "Canon is wearing a Melificent hat."

What a keen and slightly alarming comparison.

On A Side Note

Blake took the kids to church on Sunday and I stayed at home with Canon. Granted I figured that Blake may come home a little exhausted I just didn't figure that Gavin would come home so battered and bruised. He got this lovely black eye from jumping around in nursery and he fell in to the corner of a table.

The Newest Addition

Yesterday Hannah was lookin' a little like this...

But then whatever was making her look like this popped out and now she looks like this (oh, and the thing that made her look like the previous picture is laying right next to her)...

This happens to be the newest addition to the Unguren family. His name is Canon Zefirino Unguren. He was born on September 24, 2008 in Las Vegas Nevada. He is 6 pounds 6 ounces and 18 inches long. Of our three kids he is the smallest and has the darkest hair.

By the way... In case you were wondering... It is I, Blake, who has posted this post. I don't want to give Hannah a bad name with my sub-par posts.

Happiness Is Optional

Sometimes it doesn't matter if you have on your new favorite tutu and hat. Life is still bad. Then there are times when a tutu is all you need to dance and be happy.

For All of Those Inquiring Minds

I have just been lazy.
Life has been pretty normal.

Back To The Future

The other day while driving to one of my favorite places we spotted this car driving down the road. Cool on it's own but even cooler because it had a license plate that said FLUX.
(I won't lie. Blake was in heaven and instantly wanted one. He even suggested that we follow the car so we could see the doors open.)

Random Thoughts and A Number

I have about ten days left until baby comes. So almost 1 week. Crazy.
One is also the number of pounds I gained and how much I was dilated at my last appointment.
We will soon have enough little people to hold up these foam hands. I feel like even if I clean every day there is still something else to clean. How does that happen?
I guess the real question is why do I clean everyday?I am a little concerned about Laney sharing when the baby comes. Lately Laney finds it necessary to remind me that "Canon has OWN Dee-dee (which is blanket in Laney language) NOT Neenee's (Laney) Dee-dee." Not only is she worried about her blanket but she has said the same thing about her pillow. She has also told me, "Canon sleep in Dada's (Gavin) room NOT Neenee's room." On a very large side note...I can't seem to decide what we should be for Halloween. This may be the last year I can get Gavin to be what I want him to be so the pressure is on.

So This Is What My Life Has Resorted Too.

I am, just about everyday, a referee. I call time outs. I let the opposing person know if they are in the right or wrong. I have to break up fights that emerge due to unfair play, wrongdoing, or just plain meanness.
The other day we had an all time first. Laney has a lot of "babies."

They look pretty much the same with the exception of a few distinguishing features. There is normally some kind of disagreement that arises due to said babies. Gavin wants to hold one. Laney wants the same one. "I wanted those pajamas on my baby." You get the point.

So imagine my surprise when we are playing down stairs with not a baby in sight and Laney starts screaming at Gavin about touching her baby. "Laney," I say, "Gavin isn't touching your baby." Gavin then replies with "Mom, the baby doesn't want to sleep and Laney laid it down."

My reply is simple "What baby? I don't see one."

Gavin then says "That one right there."

Ooooh. Lucky me. We have now moved on to fighting over "imaginary babies."

Bellagio

On Saturday we went to the Bellagio to look at the Atrium that they change up for all the different seasons and Holidays. It is a woodsie theme with trains, so we figured Gavin would be in heaven watching all the trains go around. Here are some pictures of the fun.
This is Gavin "looking at you" and saying "cheese." Can you see the tree man in the back?Laney with her freedom look and devious hand rubbing.

These birds are up on a wall. They are quite large and Laney informed us that she wanted "Chickens to go away. No, no chickens."

This is a mini replica of the front of the Bellagio. They had a mini water show going and everything. Gavin and Laney would put up their arms and jump every time the water squirted out.
I told you he would love the trains.

They both watched them very intently.

This is Me, Gavin and Laney on a screen. One of the trains has a camera on it and we lined up just right so Blake could get a picture. (I believe this is some kind of bet with this person. If so pay up!)

Something to Warm an Already Hot Head

Laney loves all accessories. She especially loves hats. It does not matter if it 100 degrees outside. She will gladly wear a hat with a smile.I won this pumpkin hat on Tangled and True.

The other two are just additions for the colder months that are coming. But not having cold weather will not stop Laney from wearing these.

Not 1 or 2 But...

Three weeks left until baby comes.
Three pounds is how much I gained at the last doctors appointment.
Three kids we will have soon. (That is a scary thought)
Three shirts is about all I have left that fit me.

You Wanna Be On Top?

One of my favorite shows starts tonight....

Whoo Hoo!
