Comin' Up Christmas Time

TaVaci Christmas concert 2011: Comin' Up Christmas Time

They had a lot of fun, cute songs this year.

"I'm getting nuttin' for Christmas. . .mommy and daddy are MAD. . . "

I wish I could of gotten a lot more pictures, but both Adalyn and Mieley were up on the 2nd row of the risers this year and it made it hard to get a good, clear shot of them.

And for the big news, both Mieley and Adalyn had special parts this time.  Mieley took part in a narration:

And Adalyn had a solo.  Big stuff.  I know.  They both did wonderful.  Adalyn had a moment where she  forgot some of her line -- but my word, can't blame her!  She has more guts than I've ever had -- singing in front of an auditorium full of people!

I love when you catch a little moment like this. . . they're holding hands.  Ahh, makes me happy.

And when the little kids would exit off the stage so the big kids could come in, we would always shout Mieley's and Adalyn's name.  Mieley would just smile and wave like she was Miss America -- and she is Miss America to me!

I am and will always be one proud mom!

Thanks to all the other family members that made it too!  You all sure know how to make two little girls feel special!

Another Boo-Boo

Early Thanksgiving morning, Tora put her hand up on our hot stove just a couple seconds after Adam had moved a pot from the burner.  We ran her hand under cold water for quite awhile and then she soaked it in a glass with cool water for probably another hour.  Here's how it looks today.  Poor girl.  It's quite the blister she got, but we are SO grateful that it wasn't any worse than this.

But I must say her eye is looking much better.  It's clearly still visible, but at least it's not split wide open anymore!
Let's hope Tora's done with the owies for awhile.

Thanksgiving

We had a fantastic Thanksgiving this year full of family, food, friends, some food, fun, and more food.  Did I mentioned we had lots of fabulous food?  We did.  Have food.  It was a feast.  Of food.

I am so thankful for all my family, near and far.  Each member is loved so much! And for those of you that we didn't see this year - you were missed!

Destined to Snowboard

We need to get Tora started early on snowboarding lessons.  She is destined to be a great snowboarder!  Haven't you heard where Adam and I got her name from?

Watch out Winter Olympics 2026!

Line Them Up

Here's the Grover lineup for 2011 babies:

And all the current grandkids:

10 already!  But there's still plenty of room to add more to the couch.  :)

Battlewound

Tora got a war wound from Nursery today.  The war was between her and a toy.  Apparently the toy won.  She got quite the gash above her eye.

We superglued her gash together.  I'm crossing my fingers that it works!

Halloween

Adalyn was a wicked witch:

Mieley was a sweet princess:

Ajay was a monkey:

And Tora never held still long enough for a decent picture.

But she did enjoy playing with Adalyn's hat the next day.

The kids had a great time running around the neighborhood with their friends.  At first they only went to their friends houses, but then it finally clicked that they could knock on everyone's door, and an hour or so later they had a bucket full of candy.

I had to smile at Tora trying to keep up with the big kids.  Good thing all the doors were so close together so she didn't get too far behind.

Happy Halloween!

Seven

Look who's Seven! Lucky number seven.

Adalyn wanted to say thank you to all her family and friends.

And I want to say thank you to Adalyn for being such a joy in our life!

Love you!

Special Day

Today we blessed Ajay.  He is such a handsome little guy in his outfit!  We feel very blessed to have him in our family.  And if there is one thing I know for sure - he is loved by so many!
