Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving was wonderful as always. Tasty food, awesome family, and fun for all.  I am so thankful for my family!

With Adam's family:

Adam and girls with Adam's grandma.

The whole clan:

The obligatory family picture:

Plaid sisters:

And on Thursday, Thanksgiving with my family:

Adalyn and cousin Kinley

More cute cousins

Smiley Mieley:

So most of kids are pretty photogenic, how about the adults?

The stare down:

Why so sad?  Someone feed them more pie.

Uh - not quite sure what's going on in these pictures:

Mardie trying to coax a smile out of Ellie:

No smiles from Tora either?

Oh wait, there's a smile from Tora:  :)

We actually had a lot of fun at both Thanksgiving meals.  Thank you everybody!

We missed you Matt, Kim and Karlee.  See you soon!

Oh So Pretty

Adalyn got some makeup for her birthday this year.

Her and Mieley decided it was about time to properly test it all out.

Oh so pretty.

Almost Turkey Time

Today we're celebrating Thanksgiving with Adam's family, on Thursday, my family. I'm ready to get my gobble on!

Festival of Trees

On Friday, Adalyn and Mieley sang with their TaVaci Group at the Festival of Trees in Idaho Falls.  It was short and sweet, but it brought in the holiday cheer!

This time, Adalyn's up on the 2nd row and Mieley's on the bottom.

And big finish:

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas. . . .

The White Stuff

Yesterday, it snowed and snowed and snowed and snowed. And today it's still here and I do believe here to stay - atleast for awhile. And my girls are loving it.

I like (not quite love) snow, but nonetheless it is a shock to my warm-blooded system.

Still, it places something magical in the air - and makes me want to turn on Christmas music.

Halloween

We had such a good time at the Halloween Party this year. Troy and Jandy always hold a big bash, and it's always a lot of fun!

We have a costume contest every year and so everyone dresses up. All the costumes this year were so creative and really good.

Our Hosts:

Adam's parents, brother, and sister:

Danielle and her kids:

Our Kids:

Adam and I:

Kaden (Oompa Loompa) won "Best Overall", Danielle (Left Overs) took "Most Original" and I won "Funniest."

Happy Halloween!

Sweet Six (going on teen)

On Friday, we celebrated Adalyn's birthday! 6 years old! I can hardly believe it.

The Birthday Girl:

The first thing she did when she woke up, was run and get Grandma and Grandpa B.'s gift and open that.
Have any of you read this book? This book has Adalyn down to the T.

See, I told you. (Look at book, look at Adalyn - couldn't be a better resemblance there!)

After kindergarten, we had a birthday party with some of Adalyn's friends and family. This year we did a "Disney Karaoke " themed party.

First, all the kids made microphones and then they got to sing along with the Wii game, "Disney Sing it: Family Hits." Only two kids at a time could hold the real microphones, but we sure had a lot of cute back up singers!

After the singing, the kids got to come back and make an edible microphone (ice cream cones, donut holes, frosting and sprinkles) to put on top of their cupcakes. Thanks Jandy for putting that all together!

The blowing out of the candles:

And opening all her gifts:

Addy was spoiled and got a lot more gifts than just these pictures I posted. Thank you to EVERYONE for all the generous gifts and for coming to her party!

I made this paper birthday cake and filled the slices with candy for the kid's take home "Thank You's."

If you just eat the outside, it's actually good for your diets. :)

We ended the night with pizza with the family and a few friends. (and yes, Adalyn had a wardrobe change because she wanted to wear this new dress she got from Grandma G. for her birthday too)

All the cute boy cousins:

And Tora officially called it a night. When we were cleaning up, she laid down on the floor in front of the vacuum and wouldn't move. I don't know if she found it relaxing or what, but we found it hilarious!

Happy, happy birthday Adalyn! You are a special girl and we are so glad you are in our family!
