A Day of Sun

Last Friday, we ventured out to Rigby Lake, to enjoy a day of sun, water, and friends. It was just what we needed (minus the sunburn, which really, really hurts).

Tora did pretty well in the sun, though she kept trying to rip that hat off every two seconds.

Mieley and her gal pals. Do you like how Mieley and Audrey have matching swimming suits?

This year, they added this slide that's floating out away from the shore. At first, Adalyn and Mieley wouldn't go in, but after a few rounds they started going right into the water. Thanks Dennis (neighborhood dad) for catching them all those times at the bottom.

Carousel Cousins

Adalyn and Mieley's cousins came to stay with us July 8-9th. Though their time with us was short, we still had fun. Love you guys!

Let Freedom Ring

We enjoyed Independence day with a parade, a BBQ, and some fireworks. Is there any better way to celebrate??

Darth Vader?? Isn't he the opposite of freedom?? :) He was a huge crowd hit.

My three firecrackers:

Ending the night with some sparklers and fireworks.

Relay For Life

Last Friday night/wee Saturday morning, I did the Relay for Life. It was a good experience. My brother-in-law Kaden and myself hung in there the whole night (6 pm to 6 am) walking/jogging on the track. It was almost better for me to keep walking, walking, walking, because as soon as I stopped, the tiredness would start to settle in. But both Kaden and I did 105+ laps to complete a full marathon by the time it was over. Adam's sister, Heidi, was there which was very cool since she has been a cancer survivor for around 5 years. Heidi, I dedicate every lap to you. You never gave up. I admire you. I adore you. You ROCK!!
