Christmas Concert

Adam suprised me with tickets to go see a Christmas Concert by Jon Schmidt last night. (click the link to listen to some music of his). I think probably 90% of you out there have heard his "Love Story meets Vida la Vida" song. You can still find that song on YouTube. However, funny moment in the concert, he mentioned that Sony Records called and he isn't allowed to morph those two songs together until he gets the correct permissions from the group Coldplay. So what did he do? He started playing Taylor Swifts, "Love Story," stopped half way through and announced the next song he would like to play was "Vida la Vida," and then continued on playing. The crowd went crazy! For now, he has a new mix of just "Love Story meets Love Story," which I enjoy just as much. He is an AWESOME piano player. Steven Sharp Nelson was also there and adds so much to the performance. The cello and piano together are just a really, really good combo.

The concert was great and a lot longer than I thought it would be. It started at 7:30 pm and didn't end until around 9:45 pm. It made me miss playing the piano a lot. We stayed a little bit after the concert and met Steven Nelson and Jon Schmidt and had them sign some cd's and sheet music. Then I made Adam take my picture with Jon:

I know I'm a dork. But, all in all it was a really fun night out! Thanks Adam!

Black Friday

Well I've been up since 4 am scouring the internet for the best of deals. I'm feeling pretty good considering I didn't have to go out into the crowds this year. Anybody else out there gobbling up the black friday deals???

Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving to you all! We have so much to be thankful for, we should have many more Thanksgiving's each year! I just have to say that I am so thankful for my family (each and every member both near and far), my country and our freedom, my home, the gospel, my health, and so very much more!

I'm even thankful that soon it will be time to go put on 10 pounds. . .

Go to bed early all you crazy Black Friday shoppers! Yep, I'm one of them too, though this year I may just skip it. We'll see. Those darn Thanksgiving ads always draw me in.

Have a safe holiday!!!

Why I Oughta

Tora is 6 months now. 6 months! WOW!

She's grown up quite a bit wouldn't you say????

I think Tora's trying to tell us something here. Maybe to stop doing her hair crazy, or stick darts on her head, or put sunglasses on. . . "Why I Oughta". . .

Here comes Tora

Remember this is what happens when you leave a hubby unattended with a baby too long. . .

And this. . .

This is what happens when you leave a mommy unattended too long.

Poor Tora. :)

A Little Time for the Ladies. . .

A whole bunch of us from the neighborhood went and saw "New Moon" together yesterday. I liked it a lot more than Twilight. It was crazy at the movie theatre though. Women, women, everywhere! Thanks girls for the fun afternoon!!! It's so nice to get away sometimes. . .

Laughing Tora

I just wanted to remember this laugh of Tora's. There is just something downright adorable about a laughing baby. She only really laughs for the first few seconds, but I love it. And don't worry, Adalyn got another balloon because yes, truth be told, I had popped hers earlier that day as she clearly voices in the video. :)

Halloween Wrap Up

We had another fantastic Halloween. Food, fun, candy, games, and lots of good laughs.

The Costumes:

My cute chick: Tora

Who wants candy corn??? Mieley does!

Adalyn fit into her snow princess costume from last year, so that's what she was again.

Adam actually had some glasses that made his eye's look really funky, but he broke them just moments after getting in the car to go to the party, so he improvised and was a "cruiser."

As for me. ...

Welllll Adam's mom works as a potato saleswoman for Benchmark Potato. I found some glasses, wore Adam's potato tie, and dubbed myself a "Benchmark Brown-noser." Then I sucked up to Peggy for the night. Can't hurt to butter up your mom-in-law right???

And to my surprise, after the votes were in, I won "Best Costume" for this year. See, sometimes sucking up is a good thing. :)

Here's our gracious hosts for the evening. Jandy and Troy.

Here's Adam's dad: Mr. Paul Bunyan. He even brought an ax.

And Adam's mom was "Wanda the Wizard." Looking good Peggy!!!

Now can you guess what Adam's little brother, Kaden was???

He was a runway show. A gold star to him for originality.

So my glasses became somewhat of a joke, and everyone had to put them on:

Pretty good looking bunch if you ask me!

To end the night we played a bunch of games.

The kids got to enjoy a cake-walk.

And take out some extra candy rush energy on the witch pinata.

All in all, it was an awesome party and we'll be looking forward to it next year!!! Thanks so much Troy and Jandy!!!
