Family Reunion

August 20-23 we had my family reunion. IT. WAS. A. BLAST. I loved every minute of it. Highlights for me were: Family, tons of food, gaming until all hours of the night, Adam capsizing a canoe with Megan and Tanner in it, watching my parents play "Speed," Mesa Falls, 4 wheeling, a huge cabin to let everyone run around in, cute kids everywhere, ice-cream in swimming suits down by a fire at night, and so much more. It was awesome! I wish we could do this more often! Thanks mom and dad SO MUCH for putting this together for us to enjoy!

Yellowstone, Take Two

When you purchase a pass into Yellowstone National Park, it's actually good for 7 days. Adam finished work early yesterday, so we decided to go to the park again. On Sunday, we did the Old Faithful loop. This time we went north to Mammoth Hot Springs.

The first place we stopped was Sheepeater Cliff. It was a lot of fun for the girls to climb. It reminded us of Legos.

Starting out. . .

A little further up. . .

Pretty much as high as they could go. Maybe next time when they're a little taller they can go further up.

The rest of these pictures are from Mammoth Springs, where we spent the rest of the day. I think this spot was called Angel Terrace if I remember correctly.

Here's a family picture. I love the dead tree in the background. It really was pretty for being dead. Oh and there's little Tora tucked up under that hat. We did a lot of walking, so she fell fast asleep.

See - there she is!

Pretty, pretty

We couldn't get Mieley to do a decent smile. She was acting so silly here!

Cheeeeesssseeee!

This picture really doesn't do this spot justice. It's times like these that I had a much more professional camera to get great pictures. Still cool nonetheless though.

And here's Liberty Cap - a dormant hot spring cone - as the sign says.

All in all, another great family day. And to top it all off, some ice-cream from Dairy Queen on the way home.

Pretty in Pink

Can you guess what my girls favorite color is?

Okay, okay. . . It's actually Adalyn's favorite color. Adalyn had something else on, but after Mieley and Tora were dressed in pink, she went back upstairs to change into pink too.

And I actually had a different colored shirt on, but decided that I'd wear pink today too, just for fun. Adalyn took our picture here. . .not too bad for a four year old.

Pink, pink everywhere. Adam doesn't stand a chance. :)

Birthday Weekend

Saturday was Adam's 32nd birthday!!! We also had a family reunion that weekend too.

Some of the family around the fire.

Adam "flying." Too bad I got the handlebars of the 4-wheeler in the picture. :)

Me by some waterfalls. It was so pretty there.

Adalyn - she LOVES camping and asks if we can go almost every day.

Tora was all smiles too. She is seriously a happy, HAPPY baby!

Here's Adam's birthday cake I snuck up to the reunion. I had told him earlier that he wasn't getting a cake since we weren't going to be home. SURPRISE! And those are his brother's menacing hands behind him . . .looks like he's ready to attack. . .

Adam's cake.

Time for presents.

Adam got lots of great things from everyone this year. He got a shirt, some new shorts, a new golf putter, and birthday money. I also got him this new diving watch. It came in that "oxygen tank" case. Thank you everyone!

And here's Mieley's treasured find. Yep, a budweiser. She couldn't be more proud. Good thing it was already empty!

On Sunday, we went to Yellowstone. That's always fun, though it was a little bit chilly for August 9th.

This was my favorite name for a geyser.

Mieley and Adalyn

Kind of a random story: We went to the Old Faithful Inn to get some ice-cream. When we were up at the counter telling the workers want we wanted, two of them were in awe of our 3 girls. They just couldn't believe it - 3 girls! Then the male worker said, "Today's my last day! Tomorrow I go home to Malaysia!" Then all of the sudden he was standing next to us and the other girl took our picture with him. I guess he wanted our picture to show his family our 3 girls. It was too funny. By the way, the Huckleberry ice-cream was delish!

We thought this spot was neat. It was such a brilliant yellow. The girls laid down to feel the water - which was super hot!!! - and we thought it would make a cool looking picture. Then Adam accidentally dropped Tora's burp rag into the water. . . let's just say that the rag isn't so white anymore. . .
Whoops!

This was probably my favorite spot this trip. I love this pool every time we come to Yellowstone. It's such a bright blue. So pretty.

So we had one fun filled weekend! Happy Birthday again to Adam!!! We're so lucky to have you in our lives!

Rigby Lake

Last Wednesday, Adam, the girls, and I went to Rigby Lake with Adam's brother's family. Adam and Troy went scuba diving, while Jandy and I relaxed as the kids played in the water. What a great day. It was so nice to take a break from everything and spend a family day together.

Adalyn

Mieley

Tora pretty much slept through it all.

Adam and Troy coming up for a minute.

Adalyn and her cousin Daeson swimming.

Peek a boo Adalyn. Adalyn and Daeson had to take a break from the water to warm up. I thought these were cute pictures.

Thumb Sucker

This is my first girl who's been a thumb sucker. I think it's sooo cute. I know it'll be a habit to break later, but it's so adorable right now.
