Just a FYI:
My current phone has given up the ghost. . .and to make a long story short, I'm not eligible to get a new phone until April 1st. SOOOO, I promise I'm not ignoring you - but if you've been trying to get a hold of me and always get my voicemail - that's why. I can't remember my pin number either so I can check my voicemail from a different phone and the only way to reset the pin is to have the company text me a message so I can validate. . .blah, blah, blah. . . I can't receive a text message either.
So until April 2 or 3 or so, I will pretty much be phoneless. After that, I will be able to get a new phone and I'll still have my same number, so don't delete me out of your contact list yet!!! Just didn't want anyone to think that I was a jerk and not ever answering any of my calls.
That's my sad story. The end. :)

Sick Girls
I just have to say, my girls must be sick because while I was typing the last post, both of my girls zonked out on the couch simultaneously. THAT NEVER HAPPENS! Poor girls ~ I feel so bad for them. But I am going to take advantage of this and go try to take a nap myself since I'm not feeling so hot either. Sweet dreams.

Birthday Girl
Guess who's 3?? Yep, Miss Mieley!
Yesterday my cutie pie Mieley turned 3! She just keeps growing up and up! I had plans to make her a special birthday cake, but never got to it. So Adalyn and Mieley helped me make cupcakes and then they got to decorate them how they wanted. That was probably way more fun for a 3 and 4 year old to do, than to watch me *attempt* to make a real birthday cake.
We just hung out all day yesterday. Then later Grandma and Grandpa G. stopped over to sing and give Mieley her gifts. It was a very low key party this year, but I've decided that's okay. I better do it now while I can get away with it, because I'm sure when she turns 16 that won't be the case!
Hopefully we'll get to see my parents some time this weekend. However, today the girls and I have come down with yet another bug, so I guess we'll have to wait and see. I'm so sick of being sick all the time!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY MIELEY! WE LOVE, LOVE, LOVE YOU!!!

Ticking my Bum
I looked over at Adalyn and she was giving me one her sly smiles. So, I went over and started kissing her forehead and cheeks as fast as I could. She let out the most delightful laugh and then exclaimed, "Kiss me again, that tickles my bum!"
Tickles my bum? It was just too funny. I'm still laughing about it!

Happy Week
I'm going to call last week "happy week." Why? Because so many happy things happened last week.
First, on Wednesday and on my niece's birthday, her brother Crew got to come home from the NICU after 3 long months! I'm sure his journey is only beginning, but it was such happy news that he is finally healthy enough to be home where he should be!
Second, on Thursday was Grandma G's birthday. The girls made a sign for Grandma and we took it and some balloons over to where she works as a surprise. That night we also went over to Adam's parents to eat some yummy ice-cream cake. I love ice cream cakes!!!
And of course, Saturday was Valentine's Day. Adam brought flowers and chocolates home to the house and then later when he was gone snowmobiling, more candy bars and a big balloon bouquet was delivered! Later that night, he let me go to a movie with his mom while he watched the girls and then he gave me a digital picture frame when I got home! I know, I'm spoiled! I got Adam some chocolates and made him a book full of all the things I love about him. I know the book was kind of girly, but I was proud of it.
Tonight, I'm making a nice dinner for him that I was going to make on Valentine's, but didn't since I went to the movies. I hope it turns out good. Later this week, Adam and I are going out without the girls for our Valentine's date. We both didn't want to fight the crowds on Saturday. Our love can wait! =) We would rather go out when not everyone in town is out too.
I have to share this picture and story too. Last night, Adam and I were sitting on the couch watching some TV, when we hear Adalyn upstairs calling for us. She had already been in trouble about 3 times for getting out of bed, so we just were ignoring her. Slowly, Adalyn's cries got a little more desperate and a little bit louder. She started yelling, "Mom, I'm stuck! I can't get down!" I yelled back up, "You're not supposed to be getting down! You're supposed to be in bed!" Well, Adalyn kept asking for help, so I finally went upstairs a couple minutes later to see what was the matter. Here's what I found:
Adalyn sleeps on the top bunk. And she had dropped down between the bars and her mattress, so her feet were on Mieley's bed, but her head was stuck up by her own mattress. Adalyn wasn't crying like that when I went up, but as soon as I saw her, I busted up laughing and Adalyn got scared and starting crying. Adam came upstairs by then, and we felt bad, but we were laughing so hard while Adalyn was getting more and more hysterical. We finally got her out, and explained that we don't ever want her to do that again because she could get really hurt. I don't think we'll have to worry about that - I'm sure she learned her lesson!
Finally, here's a couple more cute pictures with the girls. They were seeing how high they could get their milk bubbles to go before the cup would overflow. It was making a mess all over, but they were so happy with their bubbles, that I couldn't get mad and had to take some pictures.
Picture from Adalyn's birthday in October 08 - No getting mad a me Grandma for posting your picture! =)

Porcupine Lodge
Last weekend we did our 3rd annual Grover trip to Porcupine Lodge. It's a cabin we rent up past Ashton, just a few miles shy of Cave Falls. It's always a blast and always nice to get away. I'm just sorry that's it's already over - now we have to wait another another year! I hope Adam and I are rich enough to have a cabin of our own someday - then you are ALL invited to come and play with us!
Making Music
I understand that not all fellow blog stockers enjoy other people's music. What?!? I know, to think we each have different music tastes. . . .weird. =) Well, though I feel that this is my personal blog and I can put music on if I choose too, I also feel that I shouldn't force any readers to suffer through my music selections.
So. . .I've changed up my music. My music will no longer start automatically and I've added four different playlists (on the side bar) to suit different moods. Right now I have:
1. Soundtracks : I'm a sucker for movie soundtracks - probably because I feel like my life could have a soundtrack
2. Just chillin : Just some random songs
3. Time to Dance : c'mon all my Grandmas - I know you like to dance! =)
4. Inspirational and Relaxing : We all need quiet time right?!?
A confession of mine: I am addicted to music. I can't hardly sit at the computer without some music playing and I like to see what other people put on their blogs too.
So with that all said, either choose music or have silence while you read, it's all up to you now.

Utah Trip
Last week I got to spend a whole week at my brother and sister-in-law's home. I took the girls, and we hung out at their house so that my sister could run up to the hospital as much as she wanted to see her baby, while I watched her other two kids. I was so looking forward to seeing my CUTE NICU NEPHEW again, but after I thought I was over my bug (see last post), I must of been incubating a new one and got too sick to really go anywhere - especially near NICU babies. But, though I got nearly everyone in their house sick, they still let me stay and I'm glad I got to spend some time with my family.

This picture is pretty much for the grandparents and parents of the kids, but I thought this was really cute. We had a family party on Friday night with all my brothers and their families. It was getting late, so my other sister, Mardie, decided to set all the kids up in her boy's bunk beds to watch a movie. They all sat there so cute and watched the movie until all but one fell asleep. Adalyn isn't in this picture though because she was still playing her cousin's "Leapster," but eventually she got up on the top bunk too and went to sleep. It was so nice to have all our kids asleep so the adults could stay up and talk uninterrupted!!!
Thanks to all my Utah family for a wonderful week!
In other news, we're going up to a cabin near Cave Falls later on this week. I hope that I can get over this cold so I can really enjoy it, (and not make any more families sick) but I'm really excited!!! I know this picture is from two years ago at the cabin, but it's still my favorite of Adam's sledding wipe-out!
