Newborn Pictures

My friend Lisa took Bridgette's newborn pictures when she was just 4 days old. They turned out darling! Thanks Lisa! You can check out her website at http://lisaruthphotography.com/.

Our first family photo.

I think she is the most beautiful baby!  Don't you think so?

Since We've Been Home

We've been home now with Bridgette for almost a week now. She has seen a lot of action in just one week. We thought we would share some of the highlights.

Pooping. Of course this is the top of the list for a newborn. Here she is chilling on the changing mat.

Sleeping. The only thing she does more than eating and pooping. Here she is on Dad's lap stretching her legs.

Playing with Dad. (Really Dad is testing her reflexes)

Hanging out with Grandma Melville with a cute bow on her head.

Sleeping in her vibrating chair.

Big yawn with Grandma Melville.

Saturday morning we decided to be adventurous and take the 6 day old Bridgette to our favorite place in Rochester -- the Public Market. She was great and never even woke up to see all the excitement and food.

On her changing mat with a cute onesie from Debbie.

Tiny baby in a big crib. She sleeps pretty well right now.

I'm ready for my close up. She sleeps like her Dad with her mouth wide open.
Overall, things have been going really well. We also have went for a walk through the neighborhoods and she screamed most of the time, but we'll forgive her. She is still sleeping most of the day, but we are so happy to have her here with us.

Baby Bridgette

We had an addition to our family on Sunday October 2nd, 2011 at 11:17pm. We named her Bridgette Moore. She was 20.75 inches long and weighed 7 lbs. 5 oz. She decided to make us run to the hospital during the Sunday afternoon conference after Rebe had had painful contractions all day since 6:00am.

Here is the first picture we took of her right after the delivery in the warmer while doing the pediatric exam.
This is shortly after with the whole family.
Here she is still sticky in mom's arms.

Right before we came home in the car seat.
We thought everything was going to go right as planned. She came on her own without induction, and the labor and delivery went very well. However, just before we were supposed to be discharged today, Bridgette decided to give us a scare. She had a low heart rate last night and this morning, so we had to get an EKG and a pediatric cardiology consultation. Came back that all was normal, but she delayed the discharge from the hospital by 5 hours. She just wanted to have something abnormal to give us a story to tell about her.
