Rochester Christmas

We celebrated our Christmas early, before we headed out to Utah.  Here's us in front of our "tree" and presents.  Somehow our mini tree plant from last year stayed alive all year to be a Christmas tree again for us!

 Bridgette got some chain links, a Bundle me, outfit and bath scoop.

We didn't take any pictures of us with presents from each other.  I guess our priorities have changed...  I gave Tyler some BYU gear, jeans and thank you cards.  Tyler got me a giant tupperware bowl, nail polish, and a Willow Tree family statue.  Merry Christmas!

Tall and Skinny

Bridgette had her 2 month checkup today.  She looks great and is growing!  Miss B weighed in at 10 lbs 12 oz- 41%-ile, and was 24 inches- 91%-ile!  We knew she was tall, but didn't realize she was so long for her age.  I should have known because lots of her pants are floods, but are baggy on the waist. 

She didn't like to get her shots though and has been a little whiney and fussy tonight.  Poor thing...

Christmas and 2 months old

This year we decided to put Christmas lights outside. We realized we can run them through our window without letting the cold air in. So Tyler went out and put them up.

Bridgette has discovered her hands recently. She really likes to suck on her fingers.

She also got a Bumbo recently, and at two months she can already hold her head up well enough to sit in it for some time.

Interview Season

With all the difficult part of Tyler's 4th year behind us, it's become interview time!  I can't believe that we're already this close to being done.  Tyler had his first interview at U of R on Saturday.  It went really well and he felt like he would have a spot here if he wanted it.  Whew...  This is him after the interview in his new styling suit.

 

To celebrate, I made a fun dinner followed by Luscious Lemon Cream Pie.  It was a new recipe and it was yummy!  Am I slightly embarrassed by how I decorated it?  Yes, but how else do you decorate a pie?

 

Other places lined up for interviews:

Chicago, St. Louis, Houston, Seattle, Portland, & Loma Linda (California by San Bernadino).  He's hoping to get a few more, but it's certainly a good start.

Other updates:

We made it through the 3 hour block at church and I even taught my Primary class!  Bridgette looked adorable (as always...)

 

I officially quit my job.  It's a little weird, but liberating!  I am excited to stay home with Bridgette and grateful that I had a great job.  The quitting process went well until my temporary boss (who also happens to be the CEO) pulled a fast one on me and purposely created the most awkward situation possible for me.  Oh well, I survived, but I can't say I am going to miss her!

I'm so glad when Daddy comes Home

Cousin Love

 Bridgette has met so many of her cousins being out here. It's fun to see how they interact with her. We tried to do a photo shoot with all the cousins here (We are missing Jenny & her kids!), and it turned out pretty funny. Here's the series from my camera.

I bought these darling boots from a boutique last week with my mom.  They are a little big, but Bridgette will be darling this winter!

1 Month Old

I can't believe my baby is already 1 month old!  She wasn't too happy for her photoshoot because I forgot until the end of the day.
 

She was a little happier changing into PJ's.

She's such a sweet baby and we love her so much!

I had to add this one in- she wore my sister's blessing dress from 1981 to church last week.  It was darling!  I feel like they don't make these sweet little dresses anymore.

Bridgette's First Halloween

I decided last minute that I would be a bad mom if I didn't dress Bridgette up for her first Halloween, so I had to do something easy.  I made some kitty ears out of felt and stuck them on a headband.  Her little outfit turned out much cuter than I thought it would.

My parents grew this huge pumpkin in their garden this year and my Mom had invisioned a photoshoot with the Grandkids, but it didn't go quite as planned...

 Frederick was a screamer and Brady was sick so didn't make it up.
