Preschool Open House

We took the boys to Open House at their new school today. We wanted to give them plenty of time to check out every room so they would feel comfortable on their first day. They had a great time and love their teachers already!

3 Year Check Up

The boys went for their 3 year check up yesterday. Both are in perfect health and growing like weeds!

Tim-
Height: 37 1/2 inches
Weight: 33 pounds
Both are 50th percentile

Sam -
Height: 37 1/2 inches
Weight: 32 pounds
Both are 50th percentile

A New Bedroom

At 3 years old we decided it was time for our big boys to pick out a room of their own and move into their "big boy" beds. We had a great time taking them to the store and helping them pick out their new bedding. We were not at all surprised when they picked out Buzz Lightyear and Woody from Toy Story!

Tonight they put on their Toy Story PJs, so I took some pictures of their newly decorated room (just finished right before bed!) and the boys in their big boy beds wearing their Toy Story PJs.

Medieval Times

Instead of a birthday party, we decided to take the boys to Medieval Times to see the Knights and the horses. We had a nice family day together and the boys had a lot of fun!

Family Vacation

This year we took the boys to Pigeon Forge, Tennessee for vacation. We had a lot of fun and everyone was sad to come home. Every day was filed with something to do and non stop fun!

Dollywood!

As part of our vacation we got to spend one day at Dollywood. Talk about fun! The boys even got to ride their first roller coaster!

Vacation

One day during vacation we took a drive through Cade's Cove. It is an 11 mile drive through the most beautifully preserved land in Tennessee. We saw a ton of deer grazing and even some bears! We got some photos of one bear but the second bear we saw had two cubs with her. She was running into the woods with them so we didn't get a photo. They sure were cute!

Happy 3rd Birthday!

WOW! Time really does fly when you are having fun! We just can't believe it but the boys turned 3 yesterday! They had an amazing birthday and enjoyed ever second of the day, so I will just let the pictures do the talking! We love you Tim and Sam!

Skin Testing

Timmy had his skin testing this morning. Unfortunately, he is still allergic to eggs. The bump in the middle is the egg serum reacting on his skin.

The great news is that his blood work shows negative and that means that there are no antibodies in his blood. The doctor was very happy about that.

To pass the skin test, the welt (if it forms) must be no larger than 3mm. Timmy's was 6mm this morning. The doctor was even happy with how small the welt was.

All in all, the test went well...even if it came back positive. Tim was a trooper through the whole itchy process!

AWESOME NEWS!

Great news! The boys went for their 2 year allergy testing last week....

Tim's egg allergy blood work came back NEGATIVE!!!! He is to stay off of all allergy meds for seven days. We go in to have him skin tested and then meet with the Dr. If the skin test still shows negative, then he truly has outgrown the allergy.

Our appointment is next Friday. Please keep us in your thoughts and prayers! What a blessing this would be for our son!

Mickey Mouse Clubhouse

Mickey Mouse Clubhouse...come inside, it's fun inside! Mickey Mouse was the theme of the day for Tim and Sam's 2nd birthday party. They had a blast!

I even tried my hand at cake making/decorating. I didn't want to take any chances with egg and I didn't want to have to have two different cakes. So, I made their cake and decorated it too!

We still can't believe that they are TWO! We love you big boys!

2nd Birthday

Where does the time go? Not only are they 2, but it has been a month since they turned two! What a busy and fun summer we have had. Aunt Andrea, Uncle Rudy and Nanna came for a visit...we went to the Mesquite Rodeo....the boys turned 2...WOW! It is seriously time for some updates! Enjoy!

Happy 4th of July!

Even if it is September...it is Memorial Day weekend! Better late than never...we had a great 4th of July. The boys learned to eat corn on the cob off of the cob. It was a riot! Whatever gets them to eat their corn!

July

Aunt Andrea and Uncle Rudy came for a visit in July. They were only going to stay for a weekend and we were able to convince them to stay for a full WEEK! We had so much fun and loved every minute of it!

AA and Ru Ru (as the boys say!) weren't even here 24 hours and they gave the boys their birthday presents!

Happy 2nd Birthday

Happy 2nd Birthday to the loves of our life and to Daddy and I's pride and joy! What a wonderful year it has been!

Mommy intended to write this earlier, but we have been so busy having fun today that I didn't have a chance!

All day long you have both been telling us that you are "TTWWWOOOO!!!!!" Even if you do hold up 3 or 5 or even 10 fingers!

You have both started to ask to use the big boy potty and have successfully each done so. We aren't pushing you, but we ask and if you say yes, we take you to try to use the big boy potty. Trust us...if we could stop buying diapers and put that cash into your college funds, you could attend any college you want by the time you are 5! Diapers are expensive!

This last year has been so wonderful. The winter came and went with illnesses but with many less than the year before. (thank our Lord!) You have new word every day and your speech is more and more clear as you begin to put your words into two and three word groups.

You both love Curious George and adore ALL things Mickey Mouse Clubhouse! In fact, the theme to your party is just that!

Sammy, when you get in trouble you run to us and cry because you know you have disappointed us and you are sad. You say you are sorry in an instant and give us a great big hug.

Timmy, when you get in trouble you stomp your feet and throw a toy. But when we tell you that isn't the way to behave and that we know you are upset you come running to us with a hug and tell us you are sorry.

You are two of the sweetest kids we know. You love to play Little People, ride your rocking horses or just crawl up in our laps and drink your milk before bedtime.

Thank you both for the best year and we look forward to the year ahead! We love you Monkeys!
