Standing

So we have again achieved another milestone in less than a week. Little Kali is now pulling herself to standing! Needless to say...a lot more bumps and bruises. The fall is that much farther to the ground.

Sleep

I still love when my kids sleep! Favorite part of any day of mine. Maybe because it is just that much more quiet around here or maybe because they are just so peaceful to watch sleep. Not sure...whatever the reason...it is something that I fully enjoy and love. So today, I went in to see if Kali had fallen asleep for her Sunday Afternoon Nap...and sure enough, this is how I found her...sacked out, arm out of the slats and smashed up against the bumper/corner of the crib. Comfortable? No way, but she was peacefully sleeping!!

The Chair

Troy will be known to our boys as his dad was to him...he can make anything! Troy loves to watch the show, "Built to Shred"...the boys do too. It's a skateboarding show, where they take old things (ie trash) and make skate ramps etc. This one episode they made this chair out of old skateboards...well...Troy made his own!

EVERYWHERE!!!

Our littlest is quickly becoming quite 'big'!! This is video of the second time she popped up and fully crawled on hands/knees. This was Thursday, May 13th...since then (2 days) ago...she has crawled just about everywhere in the house!!! She is just getting so big so fast...for being so very little!!

Happy Mothers Day

I have now learned that whatever I put on my list my wonderful husband will get for me!!! I gave him a list of 5 things to choose 1 from...and well I got all 5!!! Troy and the kids gave me a great Mothers Day. I love being the mom to these 6 kids and even more enjoy being Troy's wife.

Monkey Matthew

Not that I should have even been surprised, but two weeks ago we went to the park and Matthew announced that he could do the monkey bars! Of course he can...what can't this kid do!

Growing Fast

Sitting to crawling in a matter of a month. I promise that I barely blinked and she is all over the place!

Stuck

One day...I walked in to get Kali up from her nap...much to my surprise to see her legs sticking out of her crib. I found it quite funny and got a good laugh out of how happy she was despite being stuck.

Learning Young

Apparently, Matthew is a fantastic teacher of all things...including video game playing, specificially Tony Hawk...even to the very young. Kali was very much enjoying herself!

Big Helpers

So the story goes like this...another day, I was going to change Kali's poopy diaper...the phone rang...up to get it...come back and Matthew/Kamdyn are accomplishing the task for me!!! They actually did a very good job...and no poopy mess anywhere!

On the Move!

Little, little Kali is crawling!

Our Matthew

Crazy Kids

Kids are great! Couple Saturdays ago the kids chose to swim. Sun was warm...water was not so warm. But there was lots of smiling!

Easter Treasure Hunt

So this year the Easter Bunny made a treasure hunt for each of the kids. They had such a great time looking for and figuring out each of their clues. They each had 5 clues that lead them to a 'gift'.

Matthew got a new skateboard and each of the 'big boys' got some cash! I think they all enjoyed the clue finding more than the end gifts. Note to self...build up is always the best part!
Was a different and fun way to do Easter baskets.

Easter 2010

Ready...set...go...!
Egg hunting begins.

We were lucky to have our Easter celebration on Saturday instead of Sunday...as weather was much better. Grandpa and Grandma Johnson were with us for our egg hunt and Easter party. It is always so much more fun to have other to share events like this with...we were very excited they came.
All the kids had plenty of candy and treats...most of them I think ate almost all of it that day...had some sick feeling stomachs but happy smiley kids!

So snuggly

Kali is definately a snuggler. Grandma came just for a couple hours two weeks ago and enjoyed snuggling little Kali during Matthew's soccer game. Just loved this photo!

Other Fun in Carlsbad

Oh, the other reason we choose this time of year for our 'sister-mom' trip is that it's mom's bday!!! This year we (Scott, Steph and I) pitched in and got her a 'editable arrangement'...it was so fun and tasty!! Happy Birthday Mom! Thanks for letting us come crash your bday every year.
I love to do Kamdyn's hair...she doesn't love it like I do (as noted by her almost constant crying/screaming)...but I sure do.

My sister and I have started a tradition...we go to Carlsbad for a 4-5 day 'sister-mom' time trip. We leave the husbands and just take the kids. We get some much need beach time, sister time, mom time and grandparent time. We spend hardly any money and just really enjoy the time doing things outside around Dad and Mom's house. This year mom treated us to all go get pedicures together. It was so much fun, relaxing and enjoyable to sit for an hour and have our feet pampered!!

Swimming in March?!!

So we had a few warm days 70's!!! But the sun was warm...water was not...but these kids swam anyways. Such a fun afternoon!

March 2010 Birthdays

Triston turned 11 on March 18th. He wanted a cake with all different colors and legos on the top...I was in Carlsbad, so did the best I could with making a cake and transporting it back home in a 7 hour car ride with 6 kids!!! It was tasty! Dinner choice: Spaghetti Tacos, thanks to iCarly. They actually were not too bad. We all tried them, many had 2nds. Triston's face in the picture below doesn't show his enjoyment of this special bday dinner!

Troy turned 37 on the 27th! He doesn't ever choose or suggest a cake, so it is my choice of what we do. This year he has created his own 'call sign' of DO6. So the kids suggested we do skateboarding as a theme...so we did just that. This is the 'screaming hand' by Santa Cruz logo that he has on a skateboard. I think he was pretty surprised, although you never can really tell how much he likes things or not. But I think he was pleased. His choice for food, was to have breakfast for dinner. So we had french toast, eggs and hashbrowns...very yummy too!!

Lagoon

Strollin along...

Another favorite place to go...Batiquitos Lagoon, just down the 'hill' from Grandpa and Grandma Johnson's house in Carlsbad. This is the typical 'walk' and adventure..hiking sticks for each child are a must!
This year, the boys found a rope swing at the top of a small 'mountain'... they had a blast...I even tried it. Was great fun. Just makes me so happy that my children love, love, love to be outside!

Carlsbad Skatepark

The one place that Matthew wanted to go while in Carlsbad...he went twice! I loved just watching him.

Favorites!

This was absolutely the best jelly donut in the world!

One of my most favorite things are: DONUTS. Yes truth be told...I am not the most healthy of eaters...I really do love donuts. Not sure where, why or how this came to be but it is. So my mom took us to the most incredibly awesome hole in the wall donut place that I have ever been too...with the largest donuts I have ever seen or eaten...and one of the yummiest! Literally they were the size of the kids heads! All enjoyed PETERSON's DONUT CORNER.
