Checking In

just-checking-in

You may have noticed that I haven't posted any blog posts this week. I was in the hospital Sunday, Monday and Tuesday with sepsis and a UTI. Since I got home Tuesday afternoon, I have been resting and recovering. I still feel weak, and I am having some side effects from the antibiotics I had to take. Thankfully those pills are finished now, so hopefully the side effects will disappear soon.

I've also decided that posting on a specific daily theme isn't working for me, so I'm going to still do daily posts, but the topics will be more random. I will start posting again on Monday, when I should be more rested and ready to get back into a normal routine.

Enjoy your weekend!!

Boho Berry January Check-In, Day Thirty-One: Lessons Learned

31
Karma always catches up with people.
Sometimes people who ask for the truth don't want to hear the truth.
Even if the sidewalk looks clear, I will find the ONE icy spot to slip and fall.

The anniversary trip my husband and I took to Ohio Amish Country a few years ago. It was nice to get away from everything and just have some time to relax and enjoy.

Boho Berry January Check-In, Day Twenty-One: Favorite Book

21

My favorite book for most of my life was Gone With The Wind. About ten years ago, that was replaced with The Shack. Late last year/early this year that one was replaced by Girl, Wash Your Face.

Boho Berry January Check-In, Day Fourteen: Hoping To Change

14

Feel like I'm repeating myself quite a bit this month, but here we go.

Hoping to change:
My habit of creating unrealistic expectations.
My unnecessary worrying
Overscheduling myself/taking on too much
People pleasing
Taking things too seriously
Self-criticism
Procrastinating
Letting others make me feel guilty for saying no.

Boho Berry January Check-In, Day Twelve: Letter To Future Me

12

Dear Teresa,
As I write this, the last few weeks have been tough on you emotionally. Don't let that change who you are. Continue to love those who matter to you, to forgive instead of holding grudges, and to pray for the best outcome in every situation.
Keep writing and journaling every day. It might not seem like much, but there are people who enjoy/look forward to what you post, and who are looking forward to reading your autobiography when you finish it. If you can touch even ONE life, you've made a difference.
You are valuable. You are capable. You are worthy.
Keep reaching for the best you that you can be.

Love,
Teresa
