Me & Stephanie

I had such a great evening last night.  I got to see my childhood best friend.  It's been 10 years since we last saw each other.  She posted a picture of us from 13 years ago...I was 17.  Insane!  And I laughed so very hard at how different we both look.  But it reminded me of all the fun times we would have from going to the Library and reading Jane Austen all day (yes, we were probably the two biggest nerds EVER!!!) to watching Emma as often as possible (totally VHS at that time) to just riding our bikes and finding random things to entertain ourselves with.  We talked about old times and all of our friends and what everyone is doing now.  We talked about her family and what they are all up to and her two cute kiddos.  We talked about my family and what everyone is doing.  We were so grateful that we were able to make this trip happen so that we could see each other.  We joked that it will probably be another 10 years before we see each other again, but hopefully not.  It was so great to see her!!  It's amazing how after so many years we are still as good of friends as we were when we were in Jr. High together.  Stephanie is amazing and I am so grateful she is my friend!!!  I can't wait until we can get together again!!! Love ya Steph!!!

This is the picture she posted on facebook of us from when we were 17.  YIKES!!  Cracks me up!!!!
And here we are now.  Crazy!  We looks the same just all growed up!  :)
Yay for old friends!!!  I'm so happy we have kept in touch all these years!!!

HONEYMOON - LEE'S FERRY, ARIZONA

My awesome husband took my fly fishing for our honeymoon.  He knows how much I love to fish and how badly I wanted to learn to fly fish.  So, he took me fly fishing for our honeymoon.  I got a new awesome hat that says Lee's Ferry and some incredible polarized sun glasses. I could see the fish gathering at my feet.  The waders took a little getting used to.  But it was super fun learning this new skill.  Our guides name was Nat Jensen.  She was incredible and super patient with teaching me.  She said I had a beautiful catch and if I keep practicing I could be pretty good.  Good thing Justin and I are going fishing again this weekend!  So stoked!  It's going to be a blast!!!  I love my husband!  He is so great!!!  And fly fishing...well, its incredible.  Oh and fly fishing at Lee's Ferry...well, I don't think that can be beat!!!!

ME & JUSTIN

My totally awesome friend Jessica took some engagement pictures of me and Justin before our wedding.  He got into town 3 days before our wedding and Jess took pictures that night when he got into town.  She did such an awesome job!!!  Thanks to Jess we got engagement pictures.  We weren't even planning on having them.  I'm super grateful to her and it was an incredible wedding gift!!  THANKS JESS!!!  You're the best!!!

THANKSGIVING WEEK

I just had a great week!  Justin came to visit for Thanksgiving and it's been a super fun weekend!  We did a lot of fun stuff!  Mainly just spending time together since we only get to see each other about once a month.  We spent Thanksgiving with my second family the Woffindens.  It was so great and I loved that they were able to meet Justin.  I had to work the morning of Black Friday.  So Justin just hung out at my house.  I got home by 10:30am and we hung out for a bit then went downtown Salt Lake.  We went to City Creek and just wandered around.  Then went and saw the Christmas lights turn on at Temple Square.  It was gorgeous and so much fun to be there to see them turn on.  I had never been there for that.
After we had been at the temple for the lighting of the Christmas lights, we met up with my parents for dinner at the Cheesecake factory at City Creek.  They had never been there.  It was a lot of fun.  Justin and I didn't get to see all the lights before dinner, so we decided that we would go after we ate...however...our plans were drastically changed (trying to sound dramatic...it was quite traumatizing....lol) because we were sitting there, the waitress brought our food and somehow an entire glass of ice water got dumped ALL OVER me.  My jeans were completely soaked.  And for those that know me super well, know I ABSOLUTELY hate being wet.  So, we drove home after dinner instead of going to see the rest of the lights. I was pretty bummed.  So the next morning, we decided we would go back to Salt lake and make a day of it again and go to Cabela's and Scheels and then to see the lights again.
These stuffed animals (hahaha)  are Caribou.  I told Justin that if there is any animal that I would love to hunt, it's one of these cause their antlers are freaking sweet!  I just thought they looked so cool!
We ended up back at Temple square after our long day of window shopping.  It was a great day.  Super sad for it to end because he had to leave today.  So I didn't want yesterday to end.  It was an incredible week/weekend!!!

TEXAS

So a couple weeks ago, I was able to go visit my boyfriend in Texas.  Sadly, for all the fun things we did, the only picture we took was the day I was leaving town.  So we just look so awesome.  And we took it while sitting in the truck.  So it's just a weird picture.  It was a super fun trip though.  We rode around the ranch, shot clay pigeons with friends and ate yummy food!  Shot a coyote (I didn't, he did) and set pig traps and worked on feeders.  I had an awesome weekend!  It was super hard to come home!

Yellowstone Oct. 2012

So, I randomly went to my family reunion in Jackson Hole, Wyoming this weekend.  I wasn't planning on going.  But it happened.  Long story short, my parents car broke down, I rescued them, and we drove to Jackson in the middle of the night.  At least it felt like the middle of the night.  I really shouldn't complain.  I slept the majority of the way.  It was glorious.  Well, we spent the better part of Friday at Yellowstone.  I had never been there.  It was really pretty.  Here are some of my pictures from the trip.
The first stop we made (after my bathroom break that I made them stop for - happened a couple times actually through out the drive hahaha - and the bathroom was nasty...but it worked) was at Old Faithful.  It was pretty cool.  Had never seen a Geyser before.  So that was fun.  Tried to take a lot of pictures to document that I was there.  I'm sure my parents got sick of me snapping pictures of all of us every two seconds.  But it was fun for me!!!
This next picture isn't really in order of anything that we did.  Just along the drive, we saw a lot of buffalo.  The large picture was just this random buffalo walking down the middle of the road acting like all the cars were in his way.  It was hilarious.  It literally walked about 5 feet from the car.  I know that sort of thing happens in Yellowstone, but it was kinda cool to witness it.  The Elk above the fireplace was just cool.  Told Justin it would be perfect for a man cave.  Not a living room.  :)  Then the picture of the cabin is the cabin that me and my parents stayed in.  They were pretty cozy and cute actually.  It was a lot of fun.
This was just some walk.  With natural hot springs. It was really pretty and the foggy stuff was pretty cool and super warm.  Cause lets face it, I was freezing.  It did snow that day while we were at Old Faithful.  It was quite chilly.
This was downtown Jackson.  Just went to take some pictures.  Didn't really feel like there was all that much to see.  But we got some pictures.  One of the elk horn arches was covered in pink lights in lieu of Breast Cancer Awareness month.  I thought that was pretty cool!
These were sulfur pots....at least that is what I am going to call them.  Don't know what else they are called.  I don't have the guide or the map that we were using in the car.  It smelled awful.  But I think they looked cool.  And the random bubbling was so weird.  But cool.  Then there were about 6 buffalo just chillin out by the nasty water.

It was a super fun trip!  It was fun to see family that I hadn't seen in years and years.  And to be able to visit with them was pretty great!  My only regret of the crazy fast weekend was that I didn't take any pictures with any of the extended family that was there, so it just looks like it was me and my parents that went.  But I had a blast.  I can't wait for my next mini vacation next week!!!!!  It's going to be awesome!
