Camping at Cuyamaca

 We went camping in Cuyamaca/Julian area! Camping is full of pros and cons. Jason was trashed because he got home Friday morning from HAC and we left 2 hours later to go camping...he was no thrilled. Our site was stupid. It was on a hill and had a very low lying tree that we were constantly ducking under. In addition to that our tent broke! It was very hot and very buggy. On Saturday we hiked over to the water/river/waterfall area. The water was frigid but it was still fun to play in and jump off the rocks into. Tommy did a lot of exploring. After we were done there we headed to Julian to enjoy some ice cream! We had a much better 2nd night and then headed home Sunday morning.

High Adventure Camp!!! (Butterfield Ward)

 Jason had a great time at HAC. He has a few stories to tell the 2 big ones were:

1. falling off/out of the Alpine Slides and burning his arms and leg. 

2. A crazy  car accident right near where they were sitting. It sounded like a movie scene including a car driving under the car that was in the air.

Del Mar Fair

 We tried to squeeze in a quick fun excursion before Emma goes off to BYU for the summer. Everyone is so busy with so many camps and activities it will be hard to get everyone together at once again! 

And what's a trip to the fair without trying some fun foods! Deep fried pickles, deep fried Oreos, spam fries, funnel cakes, and a fun drink with candy and a big stick in it!

3rd Annual River House!!!

 We are so happy to be invited to the River House with the Hokes. This year we were able to jetski, tube, swim, and float! (Last year the water levels were too low!) We hunted for scorpions, enjoy nighttime walks, and spent alot of time cooking and eating. We had a jetski incident this year. When Brandon woke up and looked outside the jetski was gone!! Him and Tommy hopped on the second jetski and headed downriver to look for it. After 13.5 miles it was found in some shrubs. We think one of the younger kids had untied the rope. On the last day we were there the power went out! Turns out there had been a car accident that hit a pole and killed the power to several houses. That jump started our departure because who wants a house without power when its 112 outside?!

Summer Kick Off

 Jason started his summer off strong with 2 beach days, Universal Studios, the RiverHouse and High Adventure. 

Burn it Down!!!!!

3rd Annual Burn Party!! Trashing and burning all of the old school work from the past year!!We added in some neighbors because no one can pass up the opportunity to burn work that they hate!!

8th Grade Promotion

 Not our most flattering photos...but here they are! Lyla is off to HIGH SCHOOL and I can't believe it. She has loved most of her teachers and made lots of new friends. She worked hard and got EXCELLENT grades both for 7th and 8th grades.

After promotion she invited several friends over to swim, play, and eat!

5th Grade Promotion

I can't believe it! We no longer have anybody in elementary school. Macy is on her way to MIDDLE SCHOOL!!!

8th Grade Awards

 Lyla got 2 awards this year! One for being in Advanced Art and the other for being a fantastic student in Math. Her teachers always appreciate her good attitude and work ethic in class.
