Happy New Year

We kept things really simple and easy this year. We had already had a busy week leading up to NYE. We visited the family in Orange County for Rhonda's Missionary Farewell and we spent more time in Escondido to visit with Shelly and her 3 kids. On actual NYE it was raining and we decided we didn't feel like driving to Escondido for the evening. So instead we went over to the Hokes House and played a few games. We had some snacks, some cake, and we were home by 10. Perfect evening!

Christmas Continues

We dolled out some fun gifts this year: the scavenger hunt game, scanning all the photos for the Zimmermann's, digitizing the old Zimmermann family videos, AND getting Tommy his favorite childhood boardgames, FIREBALL ISLAND! Tommy was so happy to play it with Lyla, Jean, and Pasha.

In no particular order some of the Christmas activities at Nana's:

A little singing and candle lighting, reading the story from the Bible. wearing the funny hats, using the chimes, and opening presents. Aunt Mary had a good time this year.
Lyla bought Jason and Macy these matching Taylor Swift shirts. Great idea and they both love them.

Scavenger Hunt

This year we decided to send the kids on Amazing Race! They were on an adventure to discover where we will go for spring break. They had 10 clues or tasks to solve and then they could open an ornament. Each ornament represented places we have already been with the final ones suggesting where we are going. They also had to use the cards which spelled out the answer on the back.

SANDY!

AI was fun this year! We made this made this for Lyla and Mia. Super funny.

December Be Busy

Ice Skating at Peltzer with the youth group. Macy and Lyla made a snowball.
Our foster kitty Winnie/Brownie sniffing out Nana.
Visiting Santa. The kids switching out their outfits from formals, to jammies, and now ugly sweaters.
Getting some sugar cookies made.
