FAMILY TIME .....

Well I guess it's been a little bit too long since the last post so here goes. At the beginning of December we were able to enjoy having a bunch of family members visit us for about a week and a half. Jacob & Morgan w/their kids Sage & Keiger... Bryan & Shayla.... Papa & Nani Young. We kept the kids busy doing lots of fun activities. Here are a few of our favorites...

Phoenix Zoo...I love to renew our pass each year. It's so much fun to take the kids every once in a while to see the animals. It was a perfect day to go.... we finished just in time for it to down pour on us. I think Sage's favorite part was riding the carousel.

Keiger 1st B-day...Keiger turned the big "1" on December 1st. We celebrated by making cupcakes in ice creams cones and singing happy b-day. I think Kalei was more excited about his toys than he was. Of course, that's usually how it goes !!

Temple Lights...We met the Kevin Young family and the Sweetnam family for pizza and then off to see the temple lights. It was fun to be with more family and enjoy this fun tradition all together.

Feeding the Ducks....We took the kids to Freestone park to feed the ducks. Let's just say the ducks were insanely crazy. They acted like they hadn't eaten in days. They were coming up and grabbing the bread out of the kids hands., which the kids didn't seem like they minded at all. Talan had a blast chasing them around until one of the ducks literally attacked him. It kinda freaked him out for a few minutes. It was a crazy "duck feeding" experience !!

Gingerbread Houses...Of course, we had to do gingerbread houses. I think this was the best activity yet. It honestly kept them occupied for 2 hours straight putting every last piece of candy on their houses. They turned out way cute and they had a lot of fun as well.

Workin hard trying to find a spot for every piece of candy

NUTCRACKER... We topped the week off ending with a girls trip to the Nutcracker Ballet. We thought it would be fun to take the girls since they are both in dance right now. We let them dress up in little outfits and off we went. They actually did quite well considering it's only dancing w/music. I was quite impressed. What a way to end a week of lots "o" fun !!!

Girls Night out !!

Needless to say it was a week filled with lots of family and lots of fun !! Too bad it doesn't happen more often. We will take what we can get though. Thanks guys for sharing some fun memories and christmas traditions with us !! We love & miss you all !!

BOYS HARD AT WORK....

Whenever Dave comes into town we, or should I say "Justin" is always working on some project in the house. Since Dave is such a talented Carpentar we usually like to wait it out until he visits so we get the more professional look. Not, that Justin doesn't do a good job !! Being that we have only been in this house for a few months our list has been never ending. Well this time Bryan was able to come as well and with him being in the Construction industry we had a long list of "projects" for the both of them. I hope we didn't burn them out too much. I am extremely pleased with the new looks and am a very happy camper. I know Justin is glad to have his list of things done and crossed off. There were several things that they worked on in the house but here are my favorites !!!.....

In our living room I have been wanting to put in Chair Rail and these wooden box frames on 2 of the walls. Just to add a finishing touch to the room. Bryan accomplished that task in less than a day. It looks amazingly awesome !! It is indeed one of my favorites. I am thankful to him for doing it so willingly and in no time at all. I wish I had before and after pictures... but I don't.

TADA !! The completed look

This house that we moved into does NOT have a pantry at all. The pantry consists of a tall cupboard that doesn't hold that much at all. We have been using the hall closet that has wire racks to store all of our food. Being that I am in a coupon club we have a lot of canned goods to store and the wire racks have started to sink in the middle. So we have decided to turn the play room walk-in closet into our pantry !! It looks amazing and I absolutely LOVE IT !! I can actually find things that I am looking for. THANKS DAVE for all your HARD WORK !!
