T ball

We coached Luke's T Ball team again this year.  Even though I was 9+ months pregnant, it was a great distraction!  I was a busy 5 weeks of Tball with 2 games a week and 1 practice a week.  We had 3 nights of Tball every week.  Most of the kids were from our neighborhood, so we've had them all over to our house for play dates which made it more fun!  I love baseball, even though its hard to keep their attention at this young age!  Clara was so mad she wasn't old enough to be part of the team, so next year we'll be coaching tball again for her age.  

Summer

 

This summer for June, we are trying to stay busy.  Clara is trying out a combo dance class with some ballroom flare.  She's taking this class with some neighborhood girls, so hopefully it will encourage her to love dance.  Clara likes to quit, and quit everything except when she's mad.  When she's mad she doesn't drop things.  I'm not sure why she wants to quit everything, but its kinda hilarious to hear her say "I quit."

 

 

We spend a Saturday evening attending another demolition derby.  The weather was horrible and very unpredictable.  They had to shut down the derby for a time for lightening strikes, but demolition derby's are beyond fun to watch.  

 

Once you leave a demolition derby, you have this insane urge to plow into every vehicle you see.  The kids love it, and its an all evening affair.  We packed dinner and lots of snacks and stayed until the kids couldn't keep their eyes open any longer.

 

End of the season

 

We are celebrating the end of Spring.  Luke graduated preschool and will be moving forward to kindergarten next year.  He had a blast with his 2 preschool teachers this year.  At his graduation he was commended on being the All Star of the class.  His teacher joked with him about being the best at everything they tried. 

 

 

We also wrapped up Luke's second year of spring soccer.  This is a neighborhood team with all his friends on the team.  It's been so much fun to watch him grow and play.  Luke loves soccer!

 

 

With school ending, these two kiddos have plenty of time on their hands to invent new games.  They have been playing "zombie hunt" as of lately.  Their buckets are used for helmets and they sneak around the house with laser guns to shoot pretend "zombies".  I love how they can play together and it seems that their are endless giggles.  Creative play at its best!
