REAL good time

So it turns out that Real Salt Lake matches are off the HOOK. I am not kidding when I say I was freaking out. The Dallas team led off by scoring 2 goals, and we were thinking "nooooo" but then Real followed up with FOUR GOALS. And their goalie also made the single most amazing stop in the history of the world. We were rocking out to the drummers (bless the drummers, they never stopped) and singing along with Gwen Stefani at every goal and at one point Porter started crying because no one would let him have the "blue drink."

After the 4-2 win the nice guys at Rio Tinto Stadium treated us to an awesome fireworks show. It was a great way to end a great victory to a great game. Adam and I decided that we should maybe never go to a soccer game again. How can you beat a) a nearly sold-out stadium, b) a come from behind victory, c) four goals, d) some amazing goalie skills, e) all from the comfort of a suite? Not likely.

Have you seen this?

I just saw a saucy commercial for these tiny toothbrushes. Are you kidding me about this? Portable toothbrushes? Just think- next time you go out and eat, let's say, RIBS (I haven't eaten ribs in years... interesting) and you think "Shoot, I could really use a tooth pick right about now," well don't sell yourself short, my friend! Why go tooth pick when you can go TOOTHBRUSH? As in portable toothbrush!!! The only problem I can foresee is that they probably want you to throw them away after one use, like dryer sheets or something. Well Colgate people, I don't throw dryer sheets out after one use, and I will probably not throw your toothbrushes out after one use, either. Call me frugal. I just like to make sure I have squeezed every last use out everything I own. And now I'm off to Mickey Dee's with the roommate. After the world saw my flab in a swim suit all over facebook, I figured there's nothing left to lose. Let's just go for broke here. Mmmmm fries.

Sedona

I have this awesome video from our day trip out to Sedona but I am reluctant to post it on facebook because, let's face it, it is ridiculous. I feel completely safe posting it on the blog because I know exactly who will see it and I love all of you enough to not worry about you laughing behind my back. You can laugh in front of it. I don't mind.
The first picture is of the cliff jump we did about 2 hours before this video was made. The cliff is higher, as you can see, and it hurt like Hades. In the video I am flailing because I figured it was the non-flail of the first jump that made me both smack the water and then sink to the bottom like a mafia informant.

Frivolities

I have spent the morning, now into the afternoon, doing the mounds of laundry that had spilled over out of my laundry basket. Four loads in all, and I am finally on the last one. I have also been studying for the GRE, and here's what I came up with:
Everest : Climbing :: My Laundry : Washing
So you can see my excitement in almost being done with the wash. Then onto folding... Blehhh. My roommates are watching the Michael Jackson memorial, which I want no part of, so I'm back in my room. In the meantime I have had a lot of spare time to surf around and I found these save the date cards. I have no use for them, but come on, they are MOROCCAN and I had to share them, because sharing them is almost as good as actually purchasing them.

aesthetics, mathematics, and other tics

I distinctly recall my dad showing zero desire to read my awesome blog and Stevie telling him that I have but one follower. I explained that this is a fam only blog, but then I thought I might branch out and tell other folks about the blog. I started with Adam (you know Adam) and he basically said my blog is too ugly for him to follow. Perfect. I have no idea how to change the format but once I figure it out I'm going to make it the most b****in' blog and then not let ANYONE follow it.
I started my GRE prep class last Tuesday with little success except for the fact that I am one of the few students in the entire class who still remembers the order of operations from 6th grade. Don't get too excited, I still don't know my times tables or how to do long division. I went to the bookstore Wednesday morning in hopes of buying a multiplication table, but the nice (that's a lie) salesman told me they don't sell those with the big kid textbooks (I don't know what else to call them) but that I should try the kids' school supplies. Truly, this guy was a butt head. So I went downstairs and bought myself a plastic placemat with the 1-12 times tables. Now it's study time!
I watched the Bachelorette tonight and they were in Spain and it made me want to go back SO BADLY. I had a dream Saturday night that I was in Spain. Oh, yeah, Saturday! Happy Fourth, everyone!
I have gotten up in the 6 o'clock hour these past TWO days. That isn't healthy for me. Getting up that early is unnatural and plain ol' not fun! Just to reiterate what my mom so astutely pointed out last night, it's a good thing I don't have kids!
Enjoy the photos
