A Nephew

On 1/21/10 my very first nephew was born! My little sister Michelle had her baby boy. He was HUGE! Weighing in at 9lbs 11oz. We are going for about 3lbs less than that. I can't imagine having that big of a baby, ouch! He is a cute kid though. Both are doing well.

Another One?!

I know, its crazy... 2 posts so close together! I just wanted to update on our busy December and document my expanding belly. First off at the beginning of December we received the letter offering Brady an Air Force scholarship the the last 3 years of dental school. He has been applying for over 1yr; that process is intense. So needless to say we were excited for it to finally be official. As of this Thursday Brady will be officially sworn in as an Air Force Reserve until he completes dental school and then it will be off to active duty for at least 3 years. The realization that in 3 1/2 years I will be moving somewhere was a bit scary at first because I have only lived in Las Vegas. Now, I am only excited! I have wanted to live anywhere else to get that experience and now I get to! What an adventure! It will be awesome! Our families are not as excited though, but this will save us more than $200,000. One of the great things is that I (and the kids) get to go where ever Brady goes. We plan on going overseas if possible so if any of you want to come visit keep in touch and let me know. You can have a free place to stay. :) Also Brady finished his first semester of dental school! He passed his classes so that's good. One down and 10 or so more to go. On the prego front, I am feeling pretty well. This kid loves my right ribs. It is his favorite spot though lately he has moved down a bit so it doesn't hurt as bad. So far no stretch marks and the heartburn comes and goes. I am EXHAUSTED though. This past week or 2 have been the worst. This week I start going to the dr every week to be "checked" I hear this hurts so I am not looking forward to it, but its cool (and nerve wracking) that the end is so close. We get to meet our son soon! I'm not to the level of discomfort that I just want him out. He is good in there for a little while longer. :) Finally our New Year's celebration, now brace yourselves for this. Us party animals ate dinner then watched about 3-4hours of DVR'ed "Office" reruns just in time to watch some strip fireworks from our living room window and then in bed at about 12:10am. So lame!

Okuda Hawaiian Christmas

EVERYBODY

The week before Christmas Grandma and Grandpa Okuda took the family (minus the kids) to Maui for 5 days. We had such a great time! We are so blessed to have such a wonderful family. It was quite relaxing but I wont lie, it wiped me out! All the hiking around about did me in, but it was well worth it. Maui is such a beautiful place and I hope we get to go back one day. Enjoy the pictures. :)

The Beach!

What I did at the beach, sat there and watched.

We all went to a Luau one night. It was so fun to watch the hula dancers.

The atmosphere was perfect.

They offered virgin drinks too so all us non-alcoholic drinkers took advantage of the open bar for once.

The pig we ate that they cooked under the ground. It was really tasty!

The view from our room

One day we rode the Road to Hana. It was beautiful. There were lots of waterfalls, trees, and greenery. I was in Heaven. This is the day I was most active also. One of my favorite spots of the trip was on this road. I played in a waterfall! Pictures don't do it justice.

At this stop(my fav) we met this local fisherman and Grandpa O loved him. He was a cool guy.

Da boys

My Fav the sea spray on the rocks!

The blow hole was one of my favorite spots too. It was a hike to get to it, but super cool! A few people gave me weird looks as I passed by and one said "I wouldn't be doing this in your condition" People are funny. It's not like I'm dying. :)

Whale watching! This is our little friend waving.

Teppanyaki dinner!

We arrived home about 6:30am Christmas morning and went straight to my parents house for Christmas and then out to Overton. Talk about a long day. I think I took 3 separate naps. It was a great Christmas!
