(Picture David and I falling onto the couch and letting out a HUGE yawn!) Man, what a day! I don't know how we would have done it without Jeff and Wyatt Neagle, Isaac Washburn, My Father-in-law and My Brother-in-law! Thank you SO much to all of you! You made it so much easier than it would have been without you! THANK YOU!
We are so happy to be in our new apartment. We will be even happier when everything is moved in! We had a pleasant surprise today though. Our friends Nathan and Shaira stopped by this afternoon. We knew them in Corvallis, and then they moved up here a few months ago, into these same apartments. They were cleaning their's out today since they recently moved into a house, and came a-looking for us since they knew we were moving in today. It was so nice of them to stop by. I am SO glad that they are going to be going to our ward tomorrow. It is their last Sunday and Nathan is speaking, so it will be nice to have someone to introduce us to the ward. They had a baby about a month ago so Shiara is a full time Mommy so I am VERY excited that their house is close by and Shiara and I can hang out.
It's been a great start to a new area. I can't wait to get the apartment all put together so I can take pictures and show you all. Until then I will leave you with this... I have already done 3 loads of laundry in our washer/dryer (I LOVE having it in our apartment), and I have ran the dishwasher twice. I missed that! And yes, I sure am going to wash EVERY dish we own! :) If this post is somewhat rambling and doesn't make loads of sense... give me a break I've been awake since 5:00 and didn't fall asleep until 1:00. Sorry! :)

BABY POOL!!!!
Alright, I am starting a baby pool for when everyone thinks that the baby will come. I will add the link to this post, and I will also add it to the side bar. Just follow the rules on the web-site. GOOD LUCK! The actual due date is November 22nd! Depending on if it's a boy or a girl the winner will get a back of Almond Joy's or Mounds. Sing the song in your head and you'll get why it will be one or the other! (I got this idea from my sister-in-laws Dad!) HAVE FUN!

The Job... We're Moving
That's right, David got a job and we are moving to Salem. YAY! We are SO excited. Here are all of the details...
He is working for a company called Sunwest management (www.sunwestmanagement.com). Their core competency is in Assisted Living Facilities. So it is a similar company to what Bryan (my brother) works for but on a more national scale I think. David's company has facilities all over the United States. He will be doing financial reports for a group of facilities assigned to him. He is VERY excited and so am I. This job will allow David to do exactly what he wants to do out of school, and he will be able to gain great experience right out of school. His official title is Operations Research Analyst, and he works with a team of 4 other people. His official start date is June 30th, a week from this Monday.
We went up to Salem yesterday afternoon to look for apartments and after looking at about a dozen apartments we decided to go with the second apartment that we looked at. It has everything that I/We want; 2 bedroom, 1 bath, Dishwasher, Washer/Dryer (included in apartment YAY!), First Floor, Covered Parking, Garbage Disposal, Walk in closets, 5 minutes from David's office, and is SUPER cute! Oh, and on top of that our rent includes a membership to the Courthouse Athletic club which is actually on the lower part of the property. It's a public gym, but we get a deal on it because it's on our apartment's property! YAY! Good for before AND after the baby! Oh, and the icing on the cake (this is mostly for my Dad's benefit when he visits) we have a handicapped parking sign on the front wall of our apartment for the spot that is literally right in front of our door, with the dip in the sidewalk so there is no step up. :) We move in on the 28th of this month, so lot's to do! It's way cute, and pretty par for the course for the cost of rent with EVERYTHING that we get! The part of Salem that we are in is a nice neighborhood. My friend Kayti's aunt lives in our ward boundaries, so I will know someone in RS right away, which will be VERY nice! Our ward meets at 1:00 (boo), just in time to change to 9:00 after the baby's born, so that will be good! :) There is are two REAL malls in Salem (YAY) and lot's more to do than in Corvallis. However, I don't think there is a Togo's in Salem, so that is sad! The best part for me about moving there, aside from David having a job, is that I don't have to change my Doctor. We can stay with Dr. Morcos until the baby's born. PHEW!

And, I'm not going to lie, I am SO much happier that we are going to be bringing our baby home to this apartment and not the Ghetto where we live now! :) We love you all and will send pictures after we move in. :)

Graduation
WOW! We have waited for so long for graduation and now it has come and gone. So crazy! It was quit an event though. David fortunately was able to call us on his cell phone from the field so we knew where he was at all of the appropriate times that we wanted to take pictures of him. David's Dad had also brought his binoculars which made it easier to find him. Graduation started at 1:00, so my parents, David's parents, and I headed over to get some seats. We wound up sitting on the third level about 5 rows from the front. At the very first we were somewhat disappointed that we were so high, but by the end of the ceremony all of the lower seats were right in the sun, so we were VERY happy. At about 12:45 they started bring the staff and students into the stadium. There were so many of them that it took about 35 minutes to get them all in there! It was neat to see them all walk like Ants onto the Reser stadium field. Once David was in the stadium he called us and we got a ton of pictures of him walking in line. Super exciting I know, but we loved it! The ceremony was pretty good for the first hour. There were a few short speakers, and then they issued honorary bachelors degrees to the WWII Japanese Veterans who were kicked out of school at the beginning of the war. It was amazing to hear the story of what they went through. Not all of them were able to be there, some had deceased and others just couldn't make the trip. For some that were deceased they had a relative represent them as well as some that couldn't make the trip. It was so cool though that some of the actual people were there. One of the men played on the 1942 Rose Bowl team for OSU. Although he wasn't able to play in the game due to the circumstances, he was able to receive a ring and he was wearing it that day. It was such a neat presentation, I think everyone had a
tear in their eye! It definitely made it worth it for sitting there for so long. :)
Now the best part of graduation was at the end when David FINALLY got his diploma. It was so fun to be there for that! Even though the didn't say the names of all of the graduating seniors, it was special for me. I know how hard David worked these last few years. He was so dedicated to his school work, and was driven to reach this goal of graduation. He is so amazing for all the he has endured! The first two years after his mission (the second of those two years being our first year of marriage) he worked as a student custodian at the Memorial Union (MU) Building on campus 20 hrs. a week and still maintained good grades. His last year of school he worked at a job that he loved as the Assistant Manager of the Rec Center on campus caled "The Basement" because it is located in the Basement of the MU. That job kept him busy all of the time and again he was still able to maintain at least a 3.0 gpa. It would always amaze me how he could study only the night before and still pull off an A or a B on a test! He is a great example to me and I know he will also be to our children.

Tribute To The Dad's
I am a few days late, but I want to pay tribute to my amazing Dad. Anyone that has ever met him knows that he is just awesome. I got this quote from a talk by President Thomas S. Monson in an e-mail from Family Gems and it describes my Dad so accurately. The quote goes as follows...

There it is folks. That is the best description of my Dad, and who's better words to use than President Monson. My Dad is an amazing man in every aspect of his life. He is the best father I could ask for, he's an AMAZING grandfather who absolutely loves all of his grandchildren (even those that are not born yet), he is an amazing husband to my Mom, and a loyal friend to all. I love my Dad for the great example that he is to me and all of the wonderful things that he has done for me. I LOVE YOU DAD! I also have to put in a plug for my father-in-law. He is such a great guy. He is so supportive of David and I, and I really appreciate it. Thanks for all that you do Jon! And last, but certainly not least, to the soon to be father of my baby, my AMAZING husband! I am so excited for all of the adventures that being a father will bring you. I love to watch your face light up when our nieces or nephews enter the room. You love to play with them and spend time with them. I know that nothing will make you happier than to come home at the end of the day to a smiling baby that just can't wait to get some loving from Daddy. It is going to be an adventure and I couldn't ask for a better person to share it with. I love you! (I know SHOCKER.... but You're Over It! Hee Hee Hee) Smooches!
Visit from the Padres
Oh my goodness, what an exciting week or so it has been for us! Lot's has happened in the last week or so. Let's start with last Thursday shall we! :)
My parents got into town on Thursday afternoon. They left Sacramento about 6:30 in the morning and made it to our apartment by 4:00. That evening we had dinner and then showed them around OSU Campus and Corvallis. One of our stops was at a little restaurant called Francesca's where we introduced my parents to a little thing called... Gelato! Oh my goodness, it was all my Mom could talk about for the rest of the weekend. For those of you who don't know what gelato is, it is a Italian Ice Cream, and it is SO much better than regular ice cream. My Mom, who is a coldstone NUT, prefers gelato now to cold stone. She's funny like that!
Friday we made our trip to Newport, OR on the coast. It was so much fun! We just walked around and looked in all of the little shops. And by all of the little shops I mean ALL of the little shops. It was so fun though! Then we went and got dinner at Georgie's. It was a really fun day. Saturday David and my Dad hung out while my Mom and I went shopping! It was fun to spend the day with my Mom, we hadn't been able to do that for a long time. Saturday night we went out to eat and then just hung out for awhile.
Sunday was the BIG day of graduation and fathers day. For Father's Day we had steak, potato salad and corn on the cob for dinner. Then for dessert I made a spice cake for my Dad (his favorite), David's parents were down and brought a cheese cake for David (his favorite), and then we got an Oreo Cookie Ice Cream cake for DQ (everyone's favorite). Needless to say, we were not without sweets or food. It was good though. The Dad's/Dad-To-Be watched the last part of the US Open and then started watching the NBA finals. They all enjoyed their male boding time. The Mom's and I all sat in the kitchen for the most part and enjoyed each other's company. It was SO much fun!
Monday morning my parents left around 7:00, David and I got out of bed and said goodbye then quickly went back to bed because we were exhausted! David was so awesome that morning. I was SO exhausted! David got out of bed around 9:00 and I was still crashed out! Around 9:30 David came in with a plate of eggs, sausages, toast and orange juice. He woke me up to eat and told me that he knew that I was going to start getting hungry soon, so he thought he would try to beat the clock. He sure did some good timing because as soon as I woke up I was hungry. He also told me that he cleaned everything up in the guest room and other random stuff. It was so nice not to have to worry about it all. So he left the room while I ate and watched some TV, and as soon as I was done eating I set my plate on m nightstand and totally crashed out again. I slept on Monday until 12:00! I felt like such a bum, but my body TOTALLY needed it!
We LOVED our time with my parents here. We are so glad that they stayed with us and we could spend so much time with them. WE LOVE YOU MOM AND DAD!

It's Alive!!!!!!!!!!!!
Okay, this picture is a little exaggerated, but you get the idea. That's right, I felt the baby move on Thursday night. I was laying in bed on my left side and felt this little movement, almost like a gas bubble. At first, I thought it was a gas bubble so I was waiting for it to make it's way out and it never did. So after a few seconds I realized, THE BABY JUST MOVED! It was the coolest thing ever. The Dr. described it to me as a gas bubble, so that was nice to know ahead of time. :) I also felt the baby move in Sacrament this morning. They aren't major movements, they are very slight. But I am able to decipher what is baby and what is gas, so that is cool! I can't wait for the baby to get big enough and the movements to get strong enough that David can start to feel it. It's all so amazing to me! :) All to soon this baby will be in my arms and I can't wait! :)
Time it has a flown
If you haven't noticed the counter towards the top of the blog, it shows that there are only 6 more days until David graduates! INSANE! I cannot believe that it is already that time. When we got married, we knew that there were 2 years ahead of us in Corvallis, and that was that. So now that it is time for us to move on, it is just CRAZY! But very exciting! I have been looking forward to it for so long, but now that it is here it is kind of scary. We are still not sure where we are going to be going, but wherever it is, it will be an adventure! So keep us in your prayers that we will find out soon where we will be raising our little baby! :)

What do you call two baby sheep in an apartment?
Oregon State University Family Housing (Orchard Court)! Yes, that's right, only at Orchard Court can you find an apartment of people that find it okay to have 2 sheep living in there apartment. FOR THE LOVE!The beginning of last week David and I started hearing a weird noise coming from the apartment that faces our bedroom window. The first night it wasn't so awkward, it was a baby screaming at 11:30 at night until 1:00 in the morning. That wasn't so much awkward as it was ANNOYING! It got to the point where I started to feel bad for the baby and wanted to go knock on their door and take care of the kid myself. Poor little thing. Anyway, so the next afternoon is when I started to hear the weird noise. I didn't think much of it because I wasn't trying to sleep. However, that night as we went to bed the weird noise came back. Still not sure what it was, we tried to just sleep through it again. The next morning it was still going strong, which annoyed me, but again since I was done sleeping I didn't care that much. NOW this is when it gets weird. The next night as we are laying down to go to bed the noise was so loud. So we turned off the TV and stood next to the window. As we were trying to figure it out, there was a loud distinct Baaaaaaa from a Lamb. David and I laughed together at the fact that people might really have lambs in there apartment. Seriously ridiculous. So a few nights go by and I am hoping it gets better and it doesn't. Saturday evening I got fed up and called the Assistant Manager after I e-mailed the manager. The assistant manager laughed when I told him what I thought it was, but he also told me that he knows the people that live there and they have land somewhere with far animals. That alone confirmed to me that it was probably sheep. At about 9:45 I still heard the noise so I called my downstairs friend and asked her to "investigate" with me. So we ran and stood downstairs in front of the apartment and sure enough TWO BABY LAMBS! LAME! Anyway, I haven't heard the noise in the evening since Saturday night. What a relief. I have heard it a couple of times during the day, but don't care because I'm not trying to sleep, so I don't really care!
NOW, I have to say that I am DANG good at telling a baby lamb from it's noise alone. I e-mailed the Manager today and he confirmed that it was baby sheep in the apartment.
So for all of you that are thinking about moving into Orchard Court Apartments, BEWARE OF THE BABY LAMBS!!!!!!!!!!!

Winco-a-no-no!
Alright, so I am officially NOT a fan of Winco. I'm not going to lie, it won't keep me from shopping there because you can't beat their prices right now. BUT I won't like it at all. Here is why...
Monday afternoon I went to Winco to do some grocery shopping. So last time I was there it was kind of rainy outside and I was wearing my flip flops because I always wear them. So I walk in to get a cart and slid across the tile almost falling on my butt. Since I didn't fall I didn't say anything to the manager about not having a "wet floor" sign in the cart room, and I didn't want to spend anymore time at the store that I needed. Anyway, so back to Tuesday. I walk into the entry way/cart room to get my cart. I pull my cart in and place my purse in the little basket part. I turn to face my cart and my back is now to the row of 20-30 carts lined up. All of a sudden I am SLAMMED from the back and thrown into my cart, and my stomach hit the handle on my cart. So, I being the calm relaxed person that I am turned to look and saw a dumbfounded cart boy standing there and I said, okay yelled, "Dude, What the hell are you doing? You just slammed all of those carts into me." And he mumbled something stupid that I didn't understand and I said, "No seriously, I'm freaking pissed, you need to be more careful. You just slammed my pregnant stomach into this cart." And then I was so irritated that I just walked away. So in the store I see two store managers and tell them what happened. I was very nice when I talked to them. Well, they were just produce managers, but they passed the word on to the store manager. So after I checked out I spoke with the store manager and they did a whole accident report and whatnot. I was kind of annoyed at how the store manager just kind of seemed to brush it off, but whatever. Atleast it's on record.
So, today I am such a Paranoid Pam and have been losing sleep over it that I called my Dr. to see what she thought. She had me come in so we could listen to the heartbeat again and everything is fine. I have decided that because this is my first child I am aloud to be paranoid. If it was my second, then I should be less paranoid. :) But until then, I get to be as paranoid as I want.
The nurse that checked me today told me that I should be able to start feeling the baby move any time now. So that is exciting. The only bummer is that for awhile it will only feel like little gas bubbles. I can't wait until David can feel the baby move in my tummy, that will be really cool! :)
