Dear Stitchers,
in a few hours it will be the Spring Equinox, the moment when night and day have the same duration, and at the same time, the first of the seasonal celebrations of this new year.
In this last period, I wanted to create and worked on a new sweet pattern dedicated to my favorite theme, little birds, the most beautiful and colorful that Nature has generated. From this pattern, dedicated precisely to the seasons and the birds that can represent them due to their colorful plumage, I wanted to organize a mini SAL that will accompany us throughout the year, until next winter.
It is a very simple, fast, yet really sweet and companionable SAL.
The SAL is made up of four steps, each marked by the four seasons. In fact, every little bird will come fluttering to cheer up your homes, and make your needle chirp, on the first day of its season!
You can choose to stitch the complete pattern of all four birds, or individual ornaments to finish in the way you prefer, adding ribbons, bells, lace and whatever inspires you most.
For each bird there will also be a short text with its name and characteristics. These texts will only be included in the steps of the SAL. When the SAL will be finished you will still be able to download the texts by accessing the link that will be provided in the info sheet of the complete pattern.
From this moment on, the first bird, the Spring Bird, is already available. I chose the beautiful Blue Chaffinch (Fringilla teydea), because I wanted to create a soft contrast with the white honey-scented flowers blooming on the trees these days.
In this only case, you had already met a simpler version of this bird in my Little Birds Calendar, but all the other birds will be new, never seen before in my creations, each perfectly matched to the colors of their season.

In questo ultimo periodo ho voluto creare e ho lavorato a un nuovo dolcissimo schema dedicato al mio tema preferito, gli uccellini, i più belli e colorati che la Natura abbia generato. Da questo schema, dedicato proprio alle stagioni e agli uccellini che per il loro piumaggio possono rappresentarle, ho voluto organizzare un mini SAL che ci accompagnerà durante l’anno, fino al prossimo inverno.
Si tratta di un SAL molto semplice, veloce, eppure davvero dolce e di compagnia.
Il SAL è formato da quattro tappe, ognuna scandita dalle quattro stagioni. Infatti, ogni uccellino arriverà svolazzando ad allietare le vostre case, e a far cinguettare il vostro ago, nel primo giorno della propria stagione!
Potrete scegliere di ricamare lo schema completo di tutte e quattro gli uccellini, oppure singoli ornament da rifinire nel modo che preferite, aggiungendo nastrini, campanellini, pizzo e ciò che vi ispira di più.
Per ogni uccellino sarà presente anche un breve testo con il suo nome e le sue caratteristiche. Questi testi saranno inclusi solamente nelle varie tappe del SAL. Quando il SAL sarà terminato potrete comunque scaricare i testi accedendo al link che sarà fornito nella legenda dello schema completo.
Da questo momento è già disponibile il primo uccellino, l’Uccellino della Primavera. Ho scelto il bellissimo Fringuello azzurro (Fringilla teydea), perché volevo creare un contrasto tenue con il bianco dei fiori profumati di miele che sbocciano sugli alberi in questi giorni.
In questo unico caso, avevate già conosciuto una versione più semplice di questo uccellino nel mio Little Birds Calendar, ma tutti gli altri uccellini saranno nuovi, mai visti prima nelle mie creazioni, ognuno perfettamente abbinato ai colori della propria stagione.
