Christmas wrap up

Well we have a very busy month of Christmas stuff. We had Dan's work party the first Friday in December. Then we had our ward Christmas party the next day. Then the next Sat we had my parents ward party that we went to.

Here we are at that party. I like this picture because of Dan.
That's why I chose it!
Then the Sunday before Christmas my parents had us for dinner.
Then they had Santa come!

Here is Momo (my grandma) with all of her great grand kids on my side.

The three little girls that are 4 months apart in age.
Carly and Hannah (both girls on the ends) are only 4 days apart!

Here's Santa with all the kidos!
Then Aunt Naima and Uncle John gave all the kids a present.
They are so thoughtful. Thanks again guys!

All the girls got these cute dress up cheerleader outfits!
Loved this picture because Hailey's in mid flight of her jump.
Sorry I don't have a pic of the boys.
Then Christmas Eve my brother John dressed up as Santa and came a visited the kids again!

John as Santa!
So Dan and I were worried about the snow storm that was coming.
So we just stayed the night at my parents.

The girls Christmas morning

Then we headed out to Dan's parents.
Thanks to the weather for not snowing so that we could travel safely!

We actually started with the grandparents opening first instead of all us kids.

The kids all got robes from Grandma and Papa!
Then we went to Momo's to continue the celebration.
While there we realized that we had some dorks playin' with their iphones!
That was my parents gifts to each other! And John has had his for a while now.
We really did get spoiled this year! Thank you to everyone.
Oh and what did Dan and I get for Christmas? Well, a lot of stuff, but we actually got a broken water pump in my car, and a furnace that quit working in the house we are renting! Fun stuff. We were able to get the car fixed the next morning. So we have been living at my parents until the furnace can be fixed, which will hopefully be Monday the 5th of January!
Thank you mom and dad for putting up with us!

M.C. as in...

Merry Christmas!

I've got stuff to post, but I'm going to wait until Christmas is over.

I hope you all have a wonderful Christmas!

Saturday, December 13

Any takers?

I've got four tickets to the Christmas concert at the Conference Center tonight (12/13)!
Do you want them?
We were able to go last night and it was awesome!
Let me know and we can arrange to get you the tickets.

Slow down!

(This is not my child's handprint)

Yesterday at church Hailey's class made these cute little cards for their parents. On the outside is their hand traced and at the top it says, "This is my hand. My hand will do 10 loving things just for you!" And then at the bottom is says, "And you will remember when I am tall. Than once my hand was just this small." and then on the inside it says,

" Dear Parents,

You may get discouraged
Because I am so small,
And always leave my fingerprints
On furniture and walls.

But everyday I am growing,
-I'll be grown up someday,
And all those tiny handprints
Will simply fade away.

So here's a final handprint
Just so you can recall,
Exactly how my fingers looked
When I was very small.

Merry Christmas! I love you!"

I was reading it out loud to Dan on our way home and I started to cry! I was kinda surprised that I reacted that way just by reading it! As much as I love watching my kids grow up, can't they just slow down for a little while?

Friday, December 5

"Bless mom....."

This is what Hailey said in her prayer last night, "Thank you for this day. And please let mom let me sleep with my elephants. Bless us to sleep good. Bless mom to not be a jerk......." I broke out laughing at that point. It was pretty funny! You see, she has a bazillion stuffed animals and she likes to sleep with them. We have to limit the number she sleeps with because she will stay up playing with them. So she already had a ton in her bed and she said she wanted her elephants too and I said no. She didn't like that answer obviously!
