WHAT HAS HAPPENED?

I sure hope someone can answer this puzzling question.  I retired, okay, so now where has all my time gone? Pre retirement I was gone from the house 9 hours a day.  So with all reason I should have 9 hours more a day or 45 hours a week to get thing accomplished. Humm, sounds good on paper but it sure has got lost in my activities.  Can you say I'm busier now then before! Don't worry I am enjoying myself but had grandeur ideas of all this things I would get accomplish, like clean the garage.  Yep, you got it garage is still there waiting for me. I'm going to blame it on Spring. Sound good to me, someone has to take the blame.

I have been working in my yard. But an addition has had me enjoying bird watching. You see I got a new bird feeder and man, oh man, do the birds like it.  I've tried to capture all the birds but they just won't stay and pose. Sometimes there are a dozen fighting for a nimble.

These little Goldfinches are so fun to watch.  I am amazed at how they keep the big birds away until they are finished eating. Isn't this bird feed great.  It's up cycled from ball canning jar, seventies green bowl, chicken feeder. I got this as a gift from my sister but the gal who makes these is opening a Etsy Shop.

My lilac tree is starting to bloom.  Oh, how I love the fragrance of lilacs!  A friend and I went to the lilac garden in WA state.  Oh my gosh, the fragrance as you walk the paths in this garden. Of course I came home with another lilac tree.I'm such a  push over!

I had to pick a small bouquet for the house, really I had too!!
I love every little flower in the cluster. I have finally stop saying this is my favorite flower!  As each flower in my yard starts to bloom, it is my favorite for as you can see I simply love flowers!

Enjoy your day,
June

EASTER & GRAND KIDS

Is anyone still stuffed from over eating Easter Dinner?  Just call me a stuffed bunny!! What a lovely day we had, perfect weather, perfect dinner, perfect family, oh what a blessing the day was.

I decided that my grand kids didn't need another basket or bucket to hold their Easter treats from Grammy.  So I made them all a pillowcase to match their rooms.  Of course the boys were sports theme with their favorite team.  The girls were made in colors of their room.

The weather was a surprise, it was somewhat warm.  We had dinner in the house but took our dessert outside.  Of course the egg hunt was outside! Some wore jackets.

Some wore tank tops! Oh, to be young!

I saw somewhere on the Internet that a gal use an old tin for a centerpiece.  That got me to thinking I have my Mom's old lamb cake mold. So I gave it a try for our Easter table centerpiece.

The tulips were from my yard and my granddaughter brought me the other bouquet.  I love flowers in the house.

It was a wonderful day spent with family. The day ended with a rain shower and a beautiful rainbow.

Perfect ending to a great day.

Enjoy June

SPRING BREAK & GRAND KIDS

Spring break has come and gone, with kids back in school.  But with not working I got to enjoy a couple of days with grand kids.  Two of my grand kids live about 3 hrs away so we sure missed them on our adventure.

Our first day together we went bowling. I must admit I had more then one chuckle.  After bowling it was the arcades.  Oh, do those games just take your money!!  But the kids had fun.  We were off to lunch but had to wait 35 minutes to be seated.  So we went across the street to the pet store.  This pet store allows you to hold the puppies, kitties and even hamsters and rats! Yuck, yuck, yuck!! I love the puppies but RATS, No thank you and certainly no pictures of them.

I have a season pass to the tulip festival so I took all five of them to the fields.  What fun  they had for the day. They even walked out to the fields with me and posed for some pics.  But the carnival rides were there favorite. The weather was great, sunny and seventy!! A real treat for Spring Break!

Have you ever tried to get all five to pose???  Well the results!
All but one had their eyes open, let's try this again!

Can you say sun was bright so eyes closed, Ugh!!  Let's try again

Might have to settle for this one.  Maybe a little cropping and it just might work!

Or maybe this one, ha-ha!!

Of course the little girls were my Divas!  They wanted their picture taken at every row of tulips so I had to post one!
It was a fun filled day and a day this Gramme will remember. I sure hope I created some memories for the youngsters!

One last stop at the face painting booth before heading home.

It's back to school for them and planning Easter Baskets for me.

Enjoy, June
