Have you ever heard "One day I will be able to do that"? That is exactly I've been doing with my blog. One day I will get a post written, one day I will get caught up choosing pictures, one day I will get organized. I have come to the conclusion that the perfect one day will never arrive. If I keep waiting for that perfect time, well you get the idea. I recently read a blog or article about one day and I was going to give credit where credit is do, but I can't find it. Here is that lack of organization skill again.
I really haven't been waiting for that one day with some of the fun things I've been doing this summer. I've gone on several camping trips with girl friends. Oh what fun we have. There is way too many to post, but want to share some of my fun.
A trip to one of our State Parks started our season off. I got this brainy idea to make a photo booth for the camp out. With a little help from the Internet for ideas and a little help form my son the photo booth was built! Ignore the table in the background though the opening.
Oh what fun we had! Give a group of gals a crown and boa, look out!
We do enjoy hiking, eating, campfires and a whole lot of visiting. We went on a hike to see the Falls and you can even walk behind it.
Another camping trip we were at the beach! I couldn't find the picture of riding the sand dunes on a sand rail, so you will just have to trust me, it was FUN! We also went letter boxing. This was new to me I guess you register online and then as you travel you look for a letterbox in your location. It is a combination of treasure hunting and stamping. So a group of us struck out with clues in hand.
We found it! You put your stamp in their book and use the letterbox stamp in your log. Put a date, sign it and re hide it for the next person to find. It gets you off the beaten path and discovering new places. Of course we had our mascot with us! That is Lucy!
I went back to my hometown and took in the Annual June Dairy parade! There is nothing like trucks, tractor, dancers and floats with a Dairy Princess.
But mainly I've been working in my garden. Planting, weeding, chasing hens out of the veggie garden. Oh yes, those girls raided. I had to replant so my garden got a late start. This year has had a record number of day in the nineties. So you don't want to see my water bill. The thing that really makes me happy is flowers. So to have flowers you water!
I've tried to do several collages so that this post doesn't require you to take a nap.
I took oodles and oodles of peonies pictures and that is when my old camera gave up the ship. I was sad, but that's just the way it is!
So my one day is here!
Enjoy June
