Christmas 2011

This Christmas we did a lot of the usual stuff.
Decorated the tree.
Yes Erick is wearing suspenders connected to his underwear. My kids are creative when they get themselves dressed.

We decorated gingerbread houses. Evan's cookies was very impressive with his gummy bears wearing chocolate chip hats.

We went and saw Santa

I finished Erick's stocking the day before Christmas eve. I cross stitch them and I get the really nice kits so they take a couple years to do. Evans is started.

On Christmas Eve we did the usual Crab and Pizza dinner at my parents house. I know crab and pizza is a weird combo but the kids don't like crab.
Kati is a horrible person going around punching babies.
My grandpa was able to leave the care center for a few hours which was nice.
Delilah loved the pizza. She had like 2 whole pieces.

Erick really liked Lesley's mom, Sandy.
We surprised the kids with the movie Polar Express. Hazel was excited. Her class at school did a polar express party at school where they dressed in their pj's and drank chocolate milk and watched clips from the movie and read some from the book. It was really cute.
There goes Kati harassing people again.
We gave the kids new pj's to open on Christmas eve.

Santa came and left some pretty cool stuff. And he didn't forget the dogs and guinea pig.
Santa ate his cookies and drank his soda (we give him soda to help him stay awake all night) And it looked like he used the magic key we hung outside for him. We don't have a chimney. And yes that Santa is black. Isaac got that on mission in Baltimore, Maryland. Black Santa is one of my favorite decorations.
And Santa tracked dirt in the house, putting him on my naughty list.
The kids coming down Christmas morning, they wore themselves out the night before and actually slept till 8am!
Hazel got a pink cd player, the twins got cameras, and Delilah got a toy tea set.
And then they opened the gifts under the tree. Hazel has been begging me for that Scentsy cat buddy since she saw it in the catalog. Evan got a car track that he saw in the toys r us catalog
Erick loves back packs but didn't have one of his own. I took him to the store once wearing a grocery bag on his back. So for Christmas I had to get him a Diego backpack, he loves Diego.
Hazel's barbie horse that walks by itself
That is Evan's tent and tunnel.
Evan loves Power Rangers so when I saw this mask and sword I had to get it for him.

Watch out bad guys we now have a Power Ranger protecting our house.

When I was little I used to love to go in my room turn on music and dance in front of the mirror, so when Hazel said she was asking Santa for a cd player I wanted to get her a mirror. We got a cheap brown one and I painted it pink added some spray glitter and glued on some jewels and it was perfect for her.
I got some really cute hats for my girls from my friend and I knitted the boys hats too in their favorite colors. Blue for Erick, Orange for Evan.
Delilah slept in later than the other kids so when she woke up she joined in the fun.

After presents we relaxed for a while.

Later we went to dinner at my parents. It was a pretty good Christmas.

Hazel's Christmas Dance Recital

Hazel has started taking dance again at a new studio and they do a Christmas recital. The studio has only been open a couple years so they don't have a ton of students yet so Hazel has only one other girl in her class.
Hazel's costume was really cute and she looked adorable in it.

Isaac got Hazel flowers and gave them to her after the recital.

Hazel and her teacher Emily.
The studio owner, Shelby, was gone for the beggining of the year and she will be taking over Hazel's class. But the twins are going to start taking a hip hop class and Emily will be their teacher.

Isaac's Surprise Birthday Party

Because this year Isaac was turning 30 I wanted to do something special for his birthday so I decided to do a surprise party for him. I invited his family and friends. I was really happy that a couple of his old friends that he hadn't seen for a long time were able to come.
I sent Isaac off on a guys day out with my brother Chris and brother in law Tim, which both of their wives informed me that they were horrible at lying which really stressed me out. As soon as he left, me and my brother David went on a mad dash to the grocery store and party store to get supplies. We even decided we needed a song for our adventure, we decided on Micheal Jackson's Smooth Criminal. We got everything we needed and headed over to the church we had reserved.

My sister Kati made the cupcakes (she had to work so she couldn't come to the party) She is an amazing little baker. Thanks Kati!
