1st day of school

Ashley was happy to go back to school and see her friends and her new teacher, Ms. Wiltrout. This is the first year Ashley and Morgan are in the same class together, they are both still liking it. Everyday she comes home with something fun and interesting that happened in class that day. Ms. Wiltrout splits her class into different level groups, spelling and reading (this was the main reason I wanted her as a teacher). I'm glad that she can see that everyone learns at different speeds. This will really challenge Ashley. Just the other day Kelby couldn't believe the words Ashley had on her spelling test. She did great, 100%.

All day school for Brookie! She was so excited about bringing her new Hanna Montana lunch box to school. Brooklynn's teacher is Mrs. Noble and let me tell you I love her (Brooklynn does too). I just helped out in class the other day and Mrs. Noble was so happy and has songs to sing for everything. You can tell she love the kids and what she does. Brooklynn is also doing very well in school. She loves reading. She too is in the hightest reading level group.

As for me, lately I get to sit down with the girls after school and do homework from about 3:30-5:30 most nights. Ahhhhhh. Thank goodness Tyler's not in real school yet.

Fun with Grandma and Grandpa

The is just one of the many fun things Tyler did with Grandma and Grandpa while we were in Florida. The fountains at Gateway Mall are so much fun to play in! Be sure to take a cup with you if you ever go. My dad took some fun pictures of Ty.

Gotta watch this...

Brooklynn had no idea Tyler was doing this.
He thought he was so funny.

On to the next trip, Minnesota.

So our trip went like this...
Left Florida • flew into SLC • did some wash • loaded the car • left Utah • went to see Crazy horse (to foggy) • went to see Mt. Rush More (clouds parted for about 10 min. just long enough to walk around and take some pictures) • found a hotel and went swimming • got up the next day and drove and drove we got to Grandma and Grandpa's just in time for a family bbq for the wedding couple and then the local fireworks that night • Tyler stuck a lighted sparkler up his nose and cauterized it pretty good. He's a tough kid and only cried for a little bit • the next day was prep day for the wedding • July 5th 2008 Kylee and John Merrick get married in the Minnesota, St. Paul Temple. There was great food, entertainment and dancing at the reception. The kids had a blast running around a dancing all night • trips to the outlet malls • Girls had a special day with Grandma and Grandpa and went to the science museum. Later we all met up and went to the Mall of America where we all enjoyed the rest of the night at the indoor amusement park • we spent the last couple of days at the lake • fishing • playing with extended cousins • having birthdays • swimming • Tyler's 1st fish • Tyler didn't drop his pole, a fish was on the end and took off with it, the fish got tired and later the fishing pole (spongebob) floated up with the fish still on the hook • Nobody wanted to leave, we dragged our feet as long as we could • Left for home • Took the northern route this time • Got home really late • We had a Great time! Enjoy the slide show!

We're Back!!!

Time to play catch up. Good thing school starts next week. I should get some free time. (key word should)

Last Day!

Disney World

After a year of excitement and anticipation June 22nd finally came and Kelby took me and the girls to Disney World, the happiest place on earth. It was so fun to see the girls faces light up when they saw the castle and all of the characters. I have to admit even me and Kelby got excited. We made it to all of the parks except Epcot (next time), instead we spent an extra day at our favorite park Disney's Hollywood Studios. Kelby and I loved the ride Rockin' Roller Coaster the girls favorites were Tower of Terror and Splash Mountain. Universal Studios was fun they had a lot of simulated rides. We took a break from the parks one day and went to Cocoa Beach. The water was great!

We were sad to leave Tyler at home with grandma and grandpa DaBell but were so glad at the same time. We were so busy running from rides to fastpasses and to shows it would not have been fun for us or him. Plus the heat and humidity well lets just say we love Idaho and the dry heat. We'll just have to plan a trip to Disney Land. (Maybe Kody and Bethany could be our tour guides there.)

Thanks Kelby for doing a great job at work and winning this trip!!!
