A year in rewind
Well, I finally did it! I updated this here blog after almost a year. A lot has happened in the past year. Between moving into a new house to having a new baby in the family. I hope you enjoy all of our past years adventures.
Like most people, Bre and I were born. Later, we met at the University of Utah where Bre was studying health promotion and education and I was in pre-med. We began going to concerts and hanging out with a group of friends and about a year later began dating. Later, I was applying for medical schools around the country. I told Bre that while I didn't know where I would be in a year that I would love for her to be with me. This was in December 1998. I was accepted to the Univeristy of Utah School of Medicine and in February 1999 I asked Bre if she would marry me. She said yes. I gave her her ring at Coit Tower in San Francisco. We were married in the Salt Lake Temple July 1st 1999 and spent our honeymoon in San Francisco. We moved into the basement apartment of my brother Dan's house where he gave us a great deal on rent while I started medical school. Bre worked at the University's drug testing laboratory which was right nextdoor to the medical school. She graduated with her bachelors in 2001 and was then working at the state health department with the youth anti-tobacco and control program. I suffered through medical school with Bre's support and graduated in 2003. By then we were living in a condo we bought in Park City, UT which we sold a year later. I applied to several psychiatric residencies and ranked the Utah, Irvine, and Seattle/Spokane programs before matching at the Utah program. After a brief stay in another basement apartment we bought a home in Holladay, UT and I began my intern year at the University Hospital. It was difficult to say the least but each year of residency got easier. Once the intern year was over life seemed to begin for us. This is when we had Kathryn (Kate). She is now 5 and very sweet. She is a great helper and very sensitive to others. We love her. After finishing residency we began thinking of having another baby and in September 2008 we brought Elizabeth (Liz) to our family. Now we had "kids". We moved to Sandy in the Winter of 2010 and a little while later Bre was pregnant with our 3rd child who was born Dec 9th: Ryder. Bre and I are now out numbered and playing zone defense. Hold on, here we go...
